Would it be possible to make HD textures for the English letters sometime in the future? I can sacrifice the goofy English dialogue for Russian but without the text, I'm lost :)

I also had it in one of my playthroughs and also at the Agroprom undergrounds. I think I triggered it by sleeping in the undergrounds, saving and then reloading though I didn't test it further, I stopped that playthrough soon after.

You constantly hear underground noises like creaks and pipes being hit, the weather is always bad without changing and the shaders for the hands are glitched (they look the same as if it was raining).

Nah, seems that the door from the underground is "sealed because of a collapse"... Guess the game still expects me to visit Fang.

Do you happen to know of the command to close the Fang quest and the command to start the quest to get through the Pripyat underground and "unseal" the door?

Yep, it's vanilla though I have storyline changes v1.08 enabled, still wish to try and finish LA as vanilla as possible after MANY tries throughout the years.

Besides crashes and a few bugs related to some quests such as Nimble's side-quests not working properly which I can live with, I didn't manage to have blockers (this playthrough at least).

I might try your compilation along with another mod your are working on related to the news system in-game (if I'm not mistaken) whenever I get the itch to try LA again but I'm sure it won't fix all the gripes I have with the mod which were added with the DC version :)

Is my playthrough busted? I've meet with Guide at the Outskirts and he wants me to talk with Fang at the Military. Problem is, he doesn't spawns there. I also have the option from Guide to go to the Hospital with him but even when I get there, the game still wants me to talk to Fang.

Would I still be able to continue with the main missions in Prypiat if I don't talk with Fang?

Managed to bypass it, had an earlier save to test from the start of the level and drove through it without stop to where the trader is, avoiding the center square where a huge mutant population is with the occasional merc and it didn't crash so I loaded the main save, backed up from the center, went around all buildings, even the trader since when NPC dots would pop on the mini-map it would also crash and went straight to the Military Warehouses. Phew!

Has anyone experienced a LOT of crashes in Dead City with
stack trace:

"0023:5CBCA659 xrGame.dll, CDialogHolder::operator=()

0023:5CA1F6B0 xrGame.dll, CDialogHolder::operator=()

[error][ 183] : Cannot create a file when that file already exists."?

Most of my crashes during this playthrough happened in Dead City either with the error above or just
"[error][ 8] : Not enough memory resources are available to process this command."
which I did manage to "fix" by changing the rendering...

Could this be caused by the free A-life mode?

Thank you! Worked perfectly though I also had to add -noprefetch to the shortcut since it was crashing on loading / new game.
No need for any gamedata file since I'm not using the weapons addon :P

How do you enable the debug mode with the newer version of the launcher? I found out the you need to create a shortcut for XR_3DA and add -developer mode at the end of the target but I'm stuck after this part and I get "cannot find system.ltx"

Need it to manually close the "Kill the zombies" task for Sakharov since there seems to be an issue with this as stated on the wikia

Yep, playing it on master. If it's related to the difficulty then *maybe* it's possible to re-enable the NPC counter.

Is there a way to re-enable the display of how many NPC's are in the vicinity of the player? Vanilla 1.4007 has it turned off...

In development 2 versions of the plot

Why not focus on just a single good one instead of two? This will take even more time to develop and there are plenty of of mods similar to this that end up in development hell and not get released or just get released with a convoluted plot like Lost Alpha. :\

Are most of the mod channels offline by this point? I can only see 4 mods (all by cementov). Not even the mods available in the installer don't show up in the Configurator. I'm using the version from April 2020...

He can still detect you if you are low-crouching and with the flashlight off... Also if you listen closely, right when you enter the room, you can hear him spawning (hear the sound of him equipping his weapon) and I guess that when that happens, he goes in his alert mode or something.

I can confirm this as it happened to me as well when trying to do this stealth run Youtu.be .

What I did when entering the room with the ladders was to hug the right wall as much as possible (that means going between the 1st ladder and the wall, you can fit) and voilĂ , no alarms. Don't forget to low-crouch right before entering the room just to be sure.

I guess the guy in the tower can see you even if it's pitch black, or he can actually see you through the walls...

There is a nifty tool in the ZRP for SoC that can fix broken doors, kinda wish now that something like that would be available for LA...

By bunker, I meant the one Sid is in at the Cordon.

So the way I did it was clear the monolith base in the Dark Valley, clear the bandit base and kill Borov and instead of going to the Lab, I went to the Cordon so I can give Nimble Borov's revolver. When I did that I also checked on Sid and the door was still locked as before.

I know that this bug happened to me ONCE in all my years of playing SoC where Sid's door would be locked but in LA it seems that I have bad luck...

I've tried two times to do a playthrough but my game always gets bugged. Sid's bunker door always get locked and can't get to him. I tried resting till daytime, tried leaving and re-entering the level, restart, come back after doing some other missions and same thing, sooner or later Sid's door will bug itself.

Anyone knows of a fix or a workaround for this?

In my second playthrough I noticed the locked door after raiding the military base at the Agroprom and returning to the Cordon to give Nimble the Groza. Youtu.be

Did a couple of missions until I reached the point where I have to enter the lab in the Dark Valley, went to the Cordon to check, and the door was locked.

In the 1st playthrough it got locked before I had the chance to even leave the Cordon...

I did ask about it several months ago but nobody replied to my message, maybe it's uncommon for the majority that played it.

Is Sid's door supposed to be locked during some time intervals or did I just stumbled on the old broken door bug from SoC?
