Don't got a whole lot to tell. I Like games, particularly warband, and have played most of the top mods here. Don't mind giving honest reviews, and would expect the same in return. Any personal stuff remains that way... wee bit paranoid. Don't mind chatting if people want feedback, but don't expect much technical jargon. Mostly ideas.

Gekokujo

Mod review

Cant say much beyond what's already been said. This is one of my most favourite mods, it introduced my to warband in a way that was so new, by fundamentally forcing me to do things differently. No sword-n-board for me, only naginatas and nodaichi. It introduces the play to diplomacy in a unique way, that is less jarring and more easy to comprehend. You make risks without too much hesitation, because each nation is pretty puny. Lord management is also handled well. there is so much lore and dedication to the topic by the developer that its hard to not be immersed into the historical wars and intrigue.

Perisno

Mod review

Just about blew my socks off when I started playing it so long ago. Amazing mod, good visuals, good combat, and good fun. You can do just about anything, from fighting slavers to marrying a princess. Have had multiple playthroughs to this point, and have loved each one. Keep up the good stuff.

Phantasy Calradia

Mod review

Wonderfully kooky little mod. Love all the new stuff added to it, and it fleshes out the map very well. Cant wait to see what else is in store.

Prophesy of Pendor

Mod review

Game has an excellent legacy. Wonderfully challenging for experienced players, and well balanced overall. Will cause new people some grief, but once you learn the ropes it gets too addictive to put down. Deserves all the accolades that are given to it.

A Clash of Kings (Game of Thrones)

Mod review

What hasn't been said? Mod is excellent. well crafted and full of random little pieces of history and lore I never though existed. Its a labour of love, and it shows. On the game play side, the fighting is pretty solid, and usually pretty enjoyable, the new quests are fun and challenging, and the textures are pretty good.

the cons... The game suffers from a distinct lack of variety at higher levels. Once you've done the quests that's about it. It gets very repetitive. Compounded on this is how diplomacy works. As of 2.1 most westeros nations will fight over the same castles over and over again, and most nations will be out of most wars. Its great for setting up a picture world, but falls short in actual game play elements. Kingship also does not work out well. Most nations have far too many troops to get started anywhere, and when you do get started you'll either suffer from stagnation or be immediately destroyed by Essos, whose diplomacy is way to unstable at the moment. Needs some improvement, but overall very well polished and very immersive. It deserves its 7/10.

A World of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones)

Mod review

A wonderful mod, well crafted and with so much attention to detail. The use of brytenwalda as a base allows for a more gritty and real version of Westeros, with more emphasis on mortality and power struggles. The mod has a good selection of armours and items, and battles are fun and challenging. Good for any fan of the series who wants a little bit of heaven.

Issues, there are a few. the first issue is that the economy is somewhat broke, with the ability to make fast money exuberantly overpowered. Other issues is that balance needs to be tweaked a bit, as some factions are simply steam-rolled quickly in the beginning. Ethos suffers from lack of variety, and quests are still in beginning stages. At the moment, beta 8.0, random war is not working, so you might expect to see the iron isles team up with the north to screw the westerlands, but do nothing after. The mod needs a bit more ironing, but is as d*** near perfect as it is. Cant wait to see where it goes from here.

Brytenwalda

Mod review

You will hate yourself while playing it. You will wonder why you cant put it down after your party is smashed by bandits for the tenth time. But you will keep playing it because it is the best thing you've ever seen done with warband. Brytenwalda is a finely crafted masterpiece, and is superbly detailed from the land you walk on, to the ten different titles in each lords name. The game is tough, it is punishing, and it is not for the faint at heart, but of you immerse yourself in it and learn the ropes, then you will have an unmatched and novel experience in ancient Britannia. Best thing I've ever played
