Nice trailer. Where did you get the music?

alfaalex101: The Vr2 Engine (Vr2.exe) replaces GLQuake.exe. Vr2mod is not fully compatible with GLQuake, and requires an engine with certain extensions, like Vr2. So to run it you just put Vr2.exe where Quake.exe is, put the vr2mod folder where the id1 folder is, then run Vr2.exe -game vr2mod.
Ever get the feeling you're being watched? :p
Yes, it's very easy to run original Quake with these effects - just download Vr2 and run it normally, without running (or even downloading) vr2mod.
Agreed, it's very nice, but in some of the views, it kinda looks like he has a plate in his forehead or something...
It kinda looks like something out of a medieval setting. I would suggest tweaking the armor on the shoulders and on the hips.
It's the beginning of a HUD. This screeny is a little old now, I'll be uploading a new one fairly soon.
Indians? Ya know, the whole Cowboys vs. Indians rivalry goin' on... I dunno.
I generally post screenshots in the image gallery. If you want to see more, check the site, where there may or may not be more/newer shots.
I voted running-and-gunning, but I keep my cool at the same time. Stay running around quick, but never losing concentration.
that landmine sure looks a lot like the ones in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Golly.
yeah, the mapping looks impressive, but it looks like he's holding the flashlight backwards :p
Ah, ok. Yes, there are a couple of custom maps shown there. Those will (hopefully) be released with the next version. :)
I voted "I got other games on my mind...", since Quake Wars isn't on the list...
Wazat's site has a download on it, go to Static.condemned.com
that map is e1m1, from original Quake. They actually put up the wrong clip - I made a real spiffy one, but they put up one that I had submitted earlier, before I had been planning to make a nice, cut together one. I've private messaged them about it and hopefully it'll be changed soon.
Very nice stuff, good work.
The link to the live scoreboard at Moddb.com is wrong, takes me to the wrong place :(
I don't know how to fix the first problem, but for the second problem: Is there an opengl32.dll file in your Quake directory? If so, delete it (unless you have a voodoo 3 iirc which I doubt). That should fix your problem.
Of course, qc'ers get to work with the most moddable game on the planet. And we get to mod the engine too (what other games can you do that with?) Entar.quakedev.com
Version 1.4 released, and there are a lot of new features:
Removed blood effect on secret doors
Added a little more blood on grunt death
Increased explosive box damage
Increased lava damage
Added some .alpha effects to the quad damage and ring of shadows to make them more 'epic.'
Also, the website is now at Freewebs.com (/iq).
That's water, but it's basically just a place-holder. The stream/water system needs work, I'll probably look into that next. The terrain is also completely random, just for testing purposes, so I wouldn't pay a whole lot of attention to it.
