So I have extracted the gamedata.db0 folder.
I increased the weapon damage for all weapons.
No Dice.
What exactly do I do with the extract files now? I cannot repack them back into the gamedata.db0 folder

That's the thing. I don't know how to "repack". the extractor only does the unpacking for me :(

There was never an ammo ltx file that I could edit. Once I install DCE (and the same went for DC version), there is never a config folder because everything (ai; config; scrips; textures folders) is packed in gamedata.db files - files that I cannot edit.

I do have a gamedata folder but the only things in there upon install are the "levels" folder, and then a bunch of db files - anims, levels, meshes, shaders, textures. I think the game rejects ANYTHING else that is thrown in the gamedata because

So I'd have to use an unpacker/extractor file to "extract" those files into the main executable folder. When I do that I get the "unpack" folder where ai; config; scrips; textures folders are located. But even when I change weapon damage values in config folder nothing changes in the game.

So I don't know if I have to "repack" the . I am still waiting for an answer on the DCE page.

I think the game rejects any files thrown in the gamedata folder because the ai; config; scrips; textures folders are packed in gamedata db files.

Hmm.
There was no "config" folder at all in my gamedata folder until I threw this one in, so there was nothing for me to back up.

The only mods I use are the ones that come with DC extended version

1) Graphics Extended
2) Grass Sprites
3) LADC Extended
4) Monsters less tied to gulags
5) Russian Voice Acting
6) Flashlight 1.30
7) HUD v. 1.61
8) Life Activity sounds
9) Animated Detectors
10) Dynamic HUD
11) HD Hands Pack
12) HD Hands Pack Optimized
13) HD NPC Pack
14) Player hit effects

I should also say that I added the "true" value next to gamedata in fs folder.

How do I modify weapon damage?

I used an unpacker, went into "unpack" folder, changed weapons damage but nothing changed.

Do I have to "repack" the "unpack" folder or something for the changes to take effect?

So I threw config in gamedata and enabled gamedata in fs file (extended version).

The game crashes to desktop but still keeps "running" in the background. And the only way to fix it is restart the computer. As soon as I delete the config folder the game launches normally.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?
