Areour, camarades ?
Are you guys looking for help in areas such as historical research / iconographic research / translation / ???
And there are many accounts of Sicilian Muslims being fully integrated in society, as far as being employed by the king in civil and military jobs.
The regiment mechanic looks really cool, I can't wait to see how it plays :D
"a speech some German dude did in the era IRL"
Man, the feels.
He meant Alexios Komnenos I of the Trebizond (same lineage, different place), who is still alive in 1212 ;)
Got it too. I've only got the Heartlanders portraits messed up though.
I liked the descriptions! I hope the Lion of Winter(fell) is still there :P
Thanks!
I checked with a friend of mine (who's specialized in medieval history) and it turns out that even though they were "supposed" to be the abbassid caliph's vassals (since he named them "sultans"), the Zengids and Ayyubids in fact behaved almost independently. So I guess you'd be right to leave it as it is ^^
Oh yeah, it was written down there. Sorry ^^
Two other questions though: no Armenia? And aren't Ayyubids and Zengids supposed to be vassals of the Abbassids?
But it still looks good, considering the limitations of Attila provinces.
Sorry if this is a silly question, but why does most of England belong to "English Earldoms"? Are they a "vassal" of England, to show that English kings used to rule from their territories on the mainland?
Actually, you can enlist in a nation's army by visiting the recruiter in the capital I think.
Is that flag historical?
"Hey. Who turned out the lights?"
"Show them my head, it's worth seeing"
Georges-Jacques Danton
You need to tell them to stop firing when you're close to the enemy ^^

Hum, I mean: BytheSevenBytheSevenBytheSeven!
Silly me, I double-checked and it seems I missed a step (the one about the .bin files)! Thank you :)
Hum, I've got a problem with diplomacy using this version. With last version, I could at least use the button to propose treaties, although there was no text and everything else was in Russian (maybe you should have translated THAT first, before all the lore that did not really affect the core mechanisms), but now this button has simply disappeared and diplomacy become utterly un-usable.
The buttons to deploy forces and to begin a battle have also disappeared, but at least there I can press "entry" to go ahead. There is no such hotkey for diplomacy.
I'm sorry this comes out as a criticism, but everything else work fine until now, I hope you keep getting better.
Cheers :D
Hum, I know that the mod is slightly fantasist, but in France, "Légionnaires" are always part of the Foreign Legion. So making a distinction between Légionnaire and "Foreign Légionnaire" makes no sense. Even though they were not all foreign, far from that.
If you want some "standard" infantry, you could just call them "French Fusiliers" I guess. Hope you don't mind me pointing this out :)
PS: have you thought about an "officer" tree line, like:
Quartermaster - Low-ranking officer - Officer ?
And quartemasters could also specialize into medics, scouts and so on. Check the mod called Calradia: the Imperial Age, that may give you ideas :)
PS: And gendarmes were not frontile units anymore in the 19th. More like a police unit (but still part of the army, unlike regular police), like today ^^
Infatry is often at a disadvantage when fighting cavalry, that's a fact you'd better get used to.
(and the scene very rarely helps us: the hills that could break the charge are always on the other side of the map xD)
You have to manually fire volleys in line formation, and then get them to brace their baionets. Once dismounted, cavalry is worthless. Having some sweet, sweet cannons might help, too. And your own cavalry can also charge from the flank, keeping the enemy busy while your infantry fires at them.
In short: high ground if you can, make infantry shoot volleys and brace, and distraction from your own cavalry may help you.
Too big army, and no fighting. But maybe this is an unchanged vanilla feature and will change in next version. Just be patient, I guess (and being respectful would help, too, but nvm)
(btw, IRL armies literally fell apart more because of illness and desertion than actual fighting at the time. Just see how well the campaign of Russia turned out, and the French won almost every battle of it)
Maybe I can swim tbloblobloblobloblobl...
