Having a major issue here. The script to trigger, or perhaps the collision mesh for the scientists bunker hermetically sealed door isn't allowing the external door to close. In which of course, the inner door to Sakharov's bunker @ Lake Yantar fails to open.

I've tried everything outside of starting a new game. Save & reload, returned to a prior auto save at the beginning of the map. Loaded a save from hours earlier (way back in Dark Valley before entering x-18), noclipping the door with a long gun. All the usual S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tricks, all without success.

Coming back to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. after a couple of years, & I cannot think of any way to get around this otherwise minor bug.

No, he means there are actual zombies in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. They were cut from the releases, but the files are there and they have been re-enabled in literally boatloads of mods. Here, see for yourself:

Go to fallen tree in the water & look between the branches (and anomalies), and you'll find it near the crotch of the upper branches.

Holding the "F" key (or "use/take" if you've modified your key bindings) usually helps when you're looking for hidden things in Stalker mods. It's not so useful in this instance, due to the fog being nearly the same color as the on-screen text. :D

@Kemott Lol, right? It's easier than The Collector though. Kostya is a right bastard sometimes...

I'm on the newest drivers as well, & not having a problem. It's not the patch, it's a change that AMD made to Ultra Low Power States (ULPS for brevity) in the registry.

First, make sure that Crimson isn't dropping your power settings with ULPS, which is almost certainly the source of your problem. ULPS is not fully disabled by Afterburner nor Trixx since Crimson came along, and the symptoms of which are exactly what you posted in the log. That affects not only the Power Limit settings, but will often screw with your preset cooling fan profiles to boot. ULPS is a bull-in-china-shop without fully disabling it, as it's made to override everything else unless explicitly told not to.

Here's a how-to for disabling ULPS manually in the registry.

Overclock.net

Also, you might want to enable logging in Afterburner to make sure your gpu isn't overheating as a result of the above. You can find it under Settings > Monitoring, and scroll to the bottom where you'll see a box to check that says "Log History To File". I'm fairly certain Trixx has an analogous setting as well, but it's been years since I ran Trixx, & can't say for certain.

Other than that, another cause for that particular error message is instability (usually with the gpu's overclock, memory or core), often an accompanied by a BSOD screen on all accounts. Not likely in your case, but worth a look.

Before the interwebz goes railing on AMD about it; you can lay the blame squarely at the feet of Rivatuner & Sapphire for not having updated their utilities since, even though they had the drivers in hand for months before they were publicly released by AMD.

That being said, Catalyst was better except in the driver itself, in my opinion. For ease of use, and less threads being deployed across my cpu, as well as a smaller memory footprint overall.

Not with the intent of being rude, but I'd suggest ZRP over Complete any day. Both include massive amounts of bug fixes, which are nearly a necessity for your sanity.

On the other hand, Complete dumbs-down the A.I. & blinds them by limiting the field of vision in both length & breadth significantly, making the game ludicrously easy. Just grab a sniper or scoped rifle w/ Complete, and pick off completely unaware enemigo's all day long without their compatriots batting so much as an eyelash in your direction. That is what I'd consider a thoroughly *yawn*-worthy experience.

That being said, the stock Stalker A.I. isn't particularly swift to begin with, just don't forget to duck & cover as they're able to see through objects that you can't. Namely, bushes & the dark.

Anything else I wouldn't suggest for a first play through, outside of visual improvements alone. Experience it first relatively unchanged, then go for the overhaul mods.

After that, OGSE, Narodnaya Soljanka (DMX, Joint Pak2, StalkerSoup, etc, or whatever version floats your boat), F.O.T.O.G.R.A.F, Secret Trails 2, Nature Winter Black Edition, Autumn Aurora 2 (not the newer version which is less stable), ABC Inferno (if a bit old), AMK, Dead Autumn 2 -Another Reality, Krovosos Mod, Lost Worlds: Origins, Oblivion Lost Remake...

And that's all I can think of off the top of my head, although there are a ton of other great's out there as well. Those above, should keep you busy for a while... lol :p

All of the extra sharpening (minimal amounts to enhance AA2's ground cover), bump mapping, & also anti-aliasing the textures themselves makes for a nice difference, eh?

That plus real time down scaling also makes for a massive performance hit though, that's the downside... 2Mb file sizes, which become 8Mb+ from the above operations (no additional image compression/recompression added)

I was getting ready to scratch build a custom version of Secret Trails 2 (on patch 1.004 as per usual) Mostly due to my disliking the gameplay changes the Autumn Aurora version made to the original mod... ;) The only thing that was installed up until that moment, were some textures & ZRP's Shok script fixes.

I'm still not sure exactly what happened, but it's working fine now after starting over with a reinstall from disc in the exact same order.

*shrugs* Idk, this was a clean install that was backed up a few years ago, so I'm checking the drives integrity now since there's no further issues after a game disk re-installation. Perhaps a corrupted disk sector, or windows crappy file copy/move operations handling are to blame.

Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience, it seems the problem is on my end & has been for quite a while. My apologies. :/

- Custom Lighting
- Realistic Headshots
- Brighter Pipboy Light
- Repopulated Wasteland
- Warzones: Misanthropy Pure
- Project Nevada
- WMX
- FOOK
- etc, etc, etc...

Next on the todo list: body texture/model replacement for both NPC's and protagonist, along with some outfit/armor changes.

It's nothing you did, Ghost has the decoder & is supposed to unlock the door for you. If he doesn't, reload from the autosave, & run through the map again.

It did that to me the first time too. ^ Above is how I got through it.

Same happened here.

I searched thoroughly & found no other mutants (I think one may fall through the ground map or get stuck in a building/object)

It looks like the bug occurred before your last save (& mine). So try loading an earlier hard save, or if you didn't hard save between then & now, reload the autosave file & play through the entire map again.

Sorry, there isn't any other solution I'm aware of.

It doesn't matter which render mode you use, R1-R3 were all a veritable crash festival all the way through the generators w/ xrRender_(R1-to-R3).dll & xrParticle.dll ctd's.

I managed to get through by stopping (moving) every 10 seconds or so, doing a quick save, & doing the same after killing each chimera. (hint: if you try and quick save while your character is moving, it will induce a crash sometimes).

It kills the immersion, but it works. When you get to X2, the problem goes away, so there is hope :)

Even though I'm on my backup system (psu killed my primary), this is a very highly overclocked MSi 7950 TF3 @ 1225 Mhz/1900 Mhz (core/mem) getting pulled down to 24 FPS.

The card is under water, with a Watercool.de Heatkiller waterblock & backplate, with a pair of Swiftech MCP-35X (1 in a Apogee Drive II, the other in line) pushing distilled through it. <-- For anyone who might be curious as to how I'm cooling a gpu at those clocks. :p

That's all backed up by (2) 240mm Alphacool UT-60 radiators to keep temps in check. :)

Be forewarned: Lost Alpha's generators map is an absolute beautiful, but complete crashfest right now. Quicksave often, after every. single. kill.

I honestly quit counting the crashes after 24 crashes, and there were still several more afterwards(xrparticle.dll & xrcore are the culprits here according to the logs). Both continued to CTD with r1 & r2 renderer's, as well as particles completely disabled.
