These are just ideas of course. I realize it would take some work and only be worth it if you like the ideas and either way, I think you did an awesome job on the mages.

I have some ideas for mages(definitely my favorite type of unit) if they are possible to implement, if you know how, and if you like the ideas.

1. If possible, it would be really cool if different mages could use different destruction spells for some variety(like Skyrim Mages using area effect frost spells but yes, I do know it is not at all against lore for them to use fire but it would add variety). I don't know if it is possible to make some recolored flames(to a icey color). I don't know if you know how to do that sort of thing(I certainly don't) and I imagine it may be difficult or complicated to have both in the game.

2. It would be cool if there were less powerful mages that could use long ranged spells that are not area effect or as powerful(so that they are basically magic archers or long ranged icey javelin throwers). On the one hand, I love the special effects and the pretty lights >:) , but on the other hand, I personally find even lesser mages to be very overpowered(they should be in some cases like the Psijic Order)

3. This one may be the simplest change if it is not hard coded or something. Unless I am going insane, I think I hear the sound of clay pots breaking when the fireballs explode. I am assuming that the fireballs are a modified version of either naffatun projectiles that have had the pots removed or made invisible.

4. If possible decrease the fear effect of destruction mages and add illusion mages that have as low damage as possible(no damage if possible) but have a negative effect on enemy morale(like Mayan hornet throwers and or dead cows from trebuchets) and can make your own troops braver in their presence.

5. I assume you have already considered modified versions of the more interesting Medieval total war units for spells(like Mayan hornet throwers or less overpowered greek fire-throwers that shoot concentration spells out of magic staffs). I don't know what you could do with hornet throwers though(they are a silly unit) unless you were going to add spriggans or nature-y mages or something(in that case they would be perfect). lol

6. Maybe it would be possible to have mages that can toggle between two different spells in the same way that archers can use flaming or non-flaming arrows or how trebuchets can use boulders or cows(actually, trebuchets can use three different types of animation, right)?

Did you make those textures yourself? If so, awesome job! If not, then I hope they are from a mod rather than vanilla Skyrim textures. I wouldn't care if they were but I am guessing that the mod would be at risk of getting shut down if it was official game textures(and I am sure a modder would let you use their textures if you are not good yourself) even though it could only be good for Bethseda(and or only used by people who already have bought Skyrim).

Is there going to be any magic(like the Phantasy mod has for example) or is the staff just for bashing people with? :)

It shouldn't require anything but vanilla skyrim.

I think this mod is going to be great! The most major problems(as should be expected with an alpha) with it right now in my opinion are 1.the proficiencies for many of the archers are 0 and sometimes the lower tier archers actually have more proficiency like 75. I am guessing you are going to do more work on the proficiencies but I think the archers should probably be top priority in that regard. 2. The equipment. I have definitely noticed vanilla equipment in this mod(and some of the troops wear them) I think some of the vanilla equipment can fit it but those big bulky vanilla knight helms, sarranid horses, etc should be removed I think(but I am guessing you were probably planning that already). 3. I have seen you address this already. The walls of error texts blocking out any casualty and damage reports, "game saved" messages, etc.

Perhaps when it comes out I will cleave a giant in half with one blow as is befitting for the foremost knight-errant!

Looks like it will be awesome! Out of curiosity what do you have planned for siege weapons? I read that mages will use magic projectiles in this mod. Are they going to be more similar to archers or siege weapons? I think it would be really cool if they could be like siege weapons flinging area effect projectiles(that may be hard to implement into total war though). I think you will do a great job with the mod however you decide. :)

When the evil factions win they start another war(Saruman against Sauron) right? What happens when you have companions from the other side like if you have Bolzog but you are an orc of Mordor or you have Ufthak(or whatever his name is) but you are an orc of Saruman? Do they leave your party? Do you have to save up on resource points from their faction before it becomes your enemy to keep them from leaving? Or do they start using your factions resource points?

Capturing bandit mages. If I remember correctly they upgrade into them.

Will they have invisible riders or ones you can see? I personally would rather see the dragons fighting without (visible) riders unless you guys can manage to make riders fit well on them. It would also be cool if in later versions of the mod you can go on quests to slay dragons like a dragon terrorizing a village , a rare and more dangerous dragon causing a kingdom trouble, or even something more cliched like one kidnaping a noble woman. :) Regardless of how you choose to include them in the mod they look awesome!

I wish I could forget about this until it comes out! I come to this page 2 or 3 times a day eagerly looking to see if more progress has been made. It is driving me crazy! Great work!

Thanks. I already voted a few months ago in case you were wondering. I thought it was crazy how many people did not vote out of those who downloaded it but after I looked at other mods I am thinking the vast majority of downloaders do not rate mods. I don't know if you looked at the amount of reviews per downloads of other mods but I just looked at some popular mods and yours does pretty well as far as the amount of reviews goes. Here is what I found

Perisino 35,512 downloads 7 reviews 1 out of 5073 people reviewed it!

Persistant World 38,271 downloads 44 reviews 1 out of 870 people reviewed it!

Clash of Kings 447,477 downloads 695 reviews 1 out of 644 people reviewed it.

1860s Old America 37,696 downloads 142 reviews 1 out of 265 people reviewed it.

So don't feel bad about the low number of reviews. I think the amount of downloads reflects how much people like mods better than the amount of reviews. If you want motivation just think about all the hours thousands or tens of thousands of people will get out of your mod! Also I hope my last comment did not seem rude or anything I am just eager for the new version. :)

Will you consider lowering the goal on reviews or at least make some way to get it for people who did review it. I did the math and the mod is getting about 2 or less reviews a day so unless I made a mistake it will take more than 430 days!(assuming that it continues to get 2 or less reviews per day)
