Extract the patch .db files, and compare them to addon files using Notepad++ comparison tool. Then make changes where necessary.

Spent half an hour making my installed addons compatible, game still crashed on startup. Turns out it needed one clean boot with no addons first, and then I could turn on all of them back and it works fine :)

Just an FYI if someone is having the same problem.

Is pda_musicplayer something that has been cut from the game, or do I need to find a module (similar to skill/download) to use it? I see some files referencing the functionality and even a track list... Or perhaps this is just for Sid radio, and the name is a bit misleading?

Is there a way to go around the 0.05 lower limit on mouse_sens? I need at least 0.03 for game to be playable... I can change the DPI for now, but is there any reason for this limit in the first place?

disable actor legs in options menu, as soon as you can, because it causes 3 troubles: 1 missing step sounds, 2 crash with missing bone, 3 crash when fighting rats.

Any reading skills on you? -.-

a quick question:
Should the radios found in places besides main bases be silent?
I mean all those "dynamic spawned" ones, with drained batteries inside... (I tried replacing them but it didn't seem to work)
I would really enjoy some music :/

end-game SPOILER alert

so... I constantly crash whenever I try to load a savegame done after entering the room with those "blue orbs" (which you need to destroy in order to speak with C-Conciousness). no matter if it's a regular quicksave in the middle of the "battle with pyrogeists" or an autosave after refusing to join the CConciousness project, which annoys me the most. I just can't progress any further, and I tried loading from an earlier save, but as soon as I refuse to join him - and start loading a new level - I crash.

I've read that broken savegames might be caused by too many active quests, but I'm a bit too far to go back and cancel them (unless there's a way to do so without talking to the quest-giver).

I'm not sure where to find my save games or crash reports and whether I should upload them here...
Please advise

and the best thing would be to see what's happening around you and the ability to cancel whatever you're doing and shoot that hungry Snork down...

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could help me with this small problem...
The radio in Skadovsk/Yanov isn't working...
Now I know that something in patch disabled dynamic props, but as I understood the notes, the radio mod was added/enabled, to allow listening to music atleast in bases. (and I am pretty sure the radio was working until some point in the game)

The things I checked:
turned all settings to high,
turned all settings to low,
enabled/ disabled dynamic music in options,
compared the files "radio_skadovsk.ltx; ph_sound.script; sound_theme.script) from my game directory to the ones in patch (they weren't changed in any way)
looked at \gamedata\sounds\music\radio to see if anything was missing (didn't looked like it)
tried starting a new game

and nothing helped...

I guess I overlooked some files which may have been changed by faulty mechanics?
now I will say one thing that will make this look stupid:
I have installed a few of Stiivais misc adjustments, BUT I'm pretty sure they didn't mess with any of the sound thingies... (I've installed textures, lag fix, caliber fix, and sniper rifle tweak) (then I also installed the radio mod in hopes to fix this problem, but that didn't help)

I guess that the complete reinstall should fix this, but the question is:
Will I be able to load my savegames? because I would rather play with no radio, than from the start again :D

I also intend to post this in the forums, but I did it here too in hope to get some help faster ^^

7th was the mutant removed from the game, but still in its gamefiles, you could get it only trough mods :(

but the music is BEAST ^^

and about the 1st, I think you could just 'feel' that while playing the game, I dont think his photo was shown anywhere, only the story about him healing Strelok

well... I've used pictures for naming purposes, and the questions could be made a bit harder to google by either not including the base keywords or just by googling before creating it ^^ I'd love to make a few of those "guess the song" thingies, but I won't be home until 1st of August, so I can't really upload any video/song...

Hello fellow stalkers, I will be doing a Puzzle giveaway (of Stalker CoP steamgifts) to celebrate the release of Misery 2 (and to give some lucky Stalkers a chance to play this legally), but I'm not that good with creating some questions... I've already made ~10 about names of characters/mutants/artifacts, but it's boring that way...

soooo, I need your help. PM me any hints/questions/ideas you have (something about lore, or not instantly obvious preffered) and they might be featured ^^ (tell me if you want to be credited for any of these)

The link to the puzzle will be posted here (or maybe I can talk to someone on Misery team to make it more visible) but we need to create a nice puzzle first

and one last thing: I was thinking of doing the giveaway in steamgifts.com, but you need to have some amount of $ games in your steam account, so it's not really fair for some people who can get past the puzzle, but not the steamgifts restrictions... What would you recommend?
