They are actually, rather far apart. As in, its probably a solid 1-4 min trip to get from one to another.

The SSD won't be flyable, to make it so would almost literally break the Freelancer engine. But you can fly normal ISD's

Pirates were not the most wealthy of star fighters, and had to peice together scrap parts to make due. This ship, itself is actually very well in combat (both in game, and according to literature on it. Its called the Vornskr and packs a nice punch =D
