For those of you wondering this is not dead yet they are still working on it but with different directors and a different mod team from what I remember.

That's PDX's fault their launcher is trash unfortunately as of this moment. Will likely have to wait until they fix it before mods will be usable again.

How do I play this as I can't play the mod I get the horde line and the game crashes even though I have the line in the properties mentioned?

there is a mod that uses animations that could fit the mod. It's used for a Republic of China mod. Moddb.com
