tried to download the file (about 7gb) but when i download it it stops at around 3gb as if it is finished. then when i click on it winrar says "unexpected end of archive" and when i try to extract it says "archive is corrupt"

the main problem i have with the game is it needs better voice acting. i know this costs money but that is why they make things like gofundme and kickstarter. the original stalker SOC had great voice acting, it conveyed a dark emotional and desperate tone which really added to the story. I dont think the story is bad in lost alpha, i just think you need better voice actors to sell the story in a more convincing manner.
this is the most amazing mod. i will waste my entire life on this mod :) atmosphere is amazing. it fixes everything wrong with original stalker.
hi, i was wondering if you could help me understand how PDA skills module works? at first it seemed that i could only use one per day. I used 4 total up to the point where you go into the lab under the monolith base. Now i have waited over a day and cant use the one in my inventory(#5). it lets me press "use" and it disappears but then there is no option to upgrade my skills in the pda. any help would be greatly appreciated.
just to let dez know, tracers only work on the "medium" graphics presets and lower. on "high" and "maximum" you can not see them. no big deal, for now ill just play on medium graphics

supposedly it is an anomaly called Lift or something. there is also one in countryside near that giant pit of death
I am having a problem with the 1.4000 install. I used the installer to install the whole game from scratch. after installing i opened the game and it worked and said 1.3000 as the version. i downloaded the 1.3003 patch and installed that and ran the game with no issue also. now i tried to install Developer's Cut and the game crashes on startup. I think maybe I extracted into the wrong place? here is the error message:

Again, this game is unmodded, uncustomized, completely new install. any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.
gotta love those people who whine about graphics. The game has more important issues than just graphics, its surprising to see so many people complaining about that
The game has a new rifle called the AKM as well as several revolvers. Additionally I have added an AK-47 using 7.62x39mm ammo to the game which is the same HUD and world model as the AKM but a different inventory icon and stats. I was wondering how it would be possible to have NPCs carry and/or use these items, as well as ammo for them, as they are currently only obtainable through traders. I figured it would be in death_items_by_communities, death_items_by_levels, and death_items_count like it is for SOC, but everything in these files are set to 0 and no matter what number I change it to no one ever spawns these items. Is there a different folder the file is in that determines what an weapon an NPC carries and what they spawn in their inventory upon death? Any help anyone could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Scoped weapons do not work for me. Any time I zoom with a scoped weapon or binoculars the screen goes completely black except for a small image in the top left with the texture that should cover the entire screen. I thought the patch would fix it but it does not.

Will other "db extractors" work on these db files? I am unable to download the one you have because it says "500 internal server error"
in the mean time, you can just use the spawn menu to add mutants and people
Why not just extract the files and tweak them yourself? You can make them invulnerable to mutant attacks if you want. (as solid steel trucks should be, lol) you can also edit fuel consumption and engine power, among many other things. as far as driving through some places being difficult, thats why you drive a UAZ/jeep. it seems to have the best handling/lowest flip over possibility in the game. hope this helps
I just wanted to thank all of dezowave. Lost Alpha is a great game. The entire reason Stalker: SOC was a bit disappointing was because of the small maps, and this fixes that. Sure it has its flaws, but somehow I've managed to log over 150 hours into it so you guys must be doing something right. keep up the good work!
I am modifying suit descriptions and protection levels and there seems to be a problem with "bulletproof cap" or "fire_wound_protection". On "exo_outfit", Even when I have it set to 1.0 (100%) bullets still do significant damage. I went ahead and set it to 30 (3000%) and bullets still do enough damage to quickly kill you. I believe you have added a feature so that a value of 1.0 does not actually equal 100% protection so that people cannot "metagame" and use a bunch of mama's beads to make themselves invincible. Where is this located and how do I remove it so that bullet protection works like every other protection type? Many thanks in advance.
