Heads up for anyone trying mid/late game, every single war is locked in. Several hundred days into a playthrough and the same factions are still fighting the same factions. Some are just chilling on the map doing nothing.

It's an interesting way to do business, as I thought you could do some kind of "grand manipulator" thing with quests. Some quests require you to instigate peace or war, but nope they don't work in this mod. Once you join or start a faction, the only way to start war is by bullying their peasants or lords, and the only way to start peace is by destroying the enemy completely.

I haven't tested it extensively, but this mod by itself is semi-unplayable, as it has the same siege glitch as regular daimyo edition. Some sieges spam you with red text, and specifically I got into a crash loop when sieging Uhou town. About 5 minutes into the siege my game would crash, everytime. I guess you could just autoresolve those sieges but... eh.

HOWEVER... I broke down and decided to give WSE2 a try. I haven't given it more than a few hours, but it seems it saves the mod, sieging Uhou town was possible when playing on WSE2.

A very enjoyable mod, a fair amount of difficulty and a lot of secrets. I doubt I've found everything, there's a few quests that are in the mod files but I can't find them at all. It's funny because the secrets I did find were almost obvious after the fact lol

I've encountered a handful of bugs/glitches, nothing too terrible but when playing as Majorian, swapping fiefs with my vassals gives me red text spam. I haven't tested how gamebreaking it may or may not be.

This mod has all the jank we know and love about mid mods.

If you give it a try, expect to get whiplash. There's a lot of polish, battles look pretty, but then you'll crash to desktop because you sneezed too hard. Most towns and such look nice, and they're completely missing the arena feature, while the only one available in Constantinpole just crashes your game if you enter it. Character creation is just bonkers, all companions are locked behind being a vassal, and you can shoot down birds in scenes for their feathers.

I rate a War/Band. It's definitely one of the mods of all time.

Is this mod save game compatible, or do we need to start a new playthrough? I'm not seeing if its one or the other
