The Things in the Night

Mod review

Please make it for humans! This is waaaay too hard and contains not enough clues. My tips:
1) Doors could be blocked after clearing rooms, so the player knows he don't need to go back.
2) Rooms containing keys could be marked until the keys are finded. And there could be told if a key was overlooked.
3) Sometimes protagonist could comment where he should go next (if there is only one path).

Without this, the complication level is insane!!! It's not funny at all to play!

For me it's:

fright tier: 10/10
creativity: 10/10
difficulty: 15/10
time wasted on walking around every room 99232 times and ending up waching walkthrough: 2348972472 hours
number of keys used: 23209
personal enjoyment: 3/10

If you happen to do an easier version of this CS (PLZ DO IT!!!), I will change my voting with pleasure to 10/10.

And yes... I just got annoyed because I can't beat this CS by myself...

Gary - Dark Secrets

Mod review may contain spoilers

I haven't finished this CS yet, but already got very annoyed because of the GAMEPLAY and have to stress it.

Taking ONLY gameplay into consideration:

1) All locations are epicly dark. It would be perfect IF ONLY the amount of batteries would be 2 times bigger! Exploring within darkness is impossible and experience is terrible.

2) After loading one location from a save I got stuck into floor so that crouching gave me the viev of underneath. At the same time I lost most of the music. The only way to reset this disgusting bug was to die from a grunt.

3) **spoiler**

The storage part is way too confusing. Took me ~1 hour to find the lever (I had expected an equipmentable, lighten object). ALMOST gave up (it would be the first time in any Amnesia mods I've played). Got really bored as the result, forgot the story and lost the tension!

Destiny Rebellion (Amnesia)

Mod review

Holy sh** that plot really got me!
The tutorial aroused my curiosity.
All extra areas were very funny and interesting. Fighting wasn't pretty but surely was a creative part. The music was PERFECT.
The level of fright was medium (except that one epic early location...)
There were many visual bugs, have to mention.

The Four Horsemen

Mod review

Nice voice acting, pretty enjoyable gameplay for my 2 evenings. Especialy I loved the first dungeon.
On some parts I had fps drops however (mushrooms).
Deserves a 10 because it's a pretty solid story to play and needs to be high in ratings!

The Great Work

Mod review

Pretty much Zelda's like gameplay, considering puzzles. The amount of work put into this mod is amazing!

However, from some point on, the gameplay stops being scary and continues to be only interesting. I didn't feel the pressure, namely there could be more deadly-monsters encounters.

Followed By Death

Mod review

Some aspects aren't perfect, but the atmosphere feels just like this of the oryginal game. I empathized much into the gameplay, just to...
...realize that the plot isn't completed!

It could be even a 10-minute of gameplay conclusion.

Key to Freedom

Mod review may contain spoilers

Absolute masterpiece! My rating is 11/10. Very frightening, I feel like this CS is better than the actual Amnesia. Everything is polished to the max, except a one part I explain below*. Seriously, playing this story leaves a trace in the head!

*** SPOILERS BELOW ***

In the cementery part, when you are walking around in ghost's presence, your sanity goes down. But it DOESN'T REGEN if you go into the graveskeeper's house and stay near the fireside... but it should. It literally forced me to commit suicide :D (doing something with the red sanity level "..." is pain!)

Second thing, after collecting the shard from the coffin, escaping from the cementery feels too easy and not stressfull... why not locking the gate and forcing player to go another way, with a gatherer on the tail?
