Sounds like you're playing in the DEV mode. Playing the regular game as far as I know doesn't come up with that issue. Of course I could be wrong about most of this. But I'd double check and make sure you're playing the regular game anyways.

I'm almost positive that the Franklin for the Federation is the anti-shuttle/fighter ship as well as mine layer. I could very well be wrong, but each ship and their role should be clearly stated when you hover over them for their info card before you build them. Like the Daedalus being the siege ship and such.
I believe any ship in a gravity well will add to the penalty. The AI being a bit silly is sadly a Sins thing, it's said that it will be fixed in a later update. Normal in my opinion is the most affected. Also, to answer your next post about why we start on moon-worlds and not Class M's,is that you're at war and trying to gain control of a sector starting with out-lying worlds. The mods Devs can explain that better. Alot of the information you want is laid out in their streams on Youtube.
As far as I know, ships grouped up cause ships to be slow, and the Klingons have a ship with a all-active ability to give their ships in a radius slightly better speed. The Federation also have a ship like this I believe.
"A Vulcans gonna do what a Vulcans gonna do..."
I have yet to try the Klingons actually. I guess I should now lol
Ah gotcha. Now that I think of it, I know exactly what sound you're talking about. Only happens when ships like the Ares are sending shuttles to a planet. It's pretty loud to me. Lol
Yeah, voice kinda sounds like Lore-Reloaded from Youtube lol, and the noises you hear when zoomed in on Federation ships is the Ambient backround noise from the TOS bridge, unless you're talking about something else.
Bad downloads tend to do that to a game. Once you delete the copy you have and re-download, it's usually fixed.
The Marklin so far has been the drunk one lol
Then you just have a bad download. The textures and what not are actually there. (quick edit) did not mean to seem rude on that front. But that is usually the result of a bad download.
So far the mod is great, no doubt about in my mind that this was the best thing I've ever waited for (make sure my girlfriend doesn't read that LOL), probably just a Sins thing and not a mod thing, really wish the Klingons didn't meta the heck out of planet bombers, and the leave basically every other ship a capital. Others have a point for the smaller more frequent updates, one being testing things as they come out, but personally, it's not like you guys won't tell us what's new or what to test out, so I feel the longer more fleshed out updates are better. Your choice of course, I'm vastly out-numbered in that opinion lol
Dispose of them! Quickly! Lol
Maybe they'll make the AI a little less cheaty all the way around... Nah, that wouldn't be fun. Lol, but yes, hopefully they do fix that. Cheers you guys, you've made an amazing work of art. STA3 helped me put 200 hours into Sins when I first got the game. Now this mod on the other hand... My family might have to give me an intervention.
Large fleet sizes was on and I prefer faster income for game play. Didn't seem to help in my case at least for the AI. Been like a year since I had last played so I assumed it was a mod thing, it being just released and all that. Still enjoyed this mod, can't really say I was disappointed actually, this is still the most excited I've been for anything in awhile.
Hi Gul :), they were indeed on normal like mentioned. Wanted to try them on normal first. I did not know Sins was having an issue with normal or even the lower difficulties. Been awhile since I had last played.
Mod is great so far, highly detailed! I've played only 1 match so far, for about 2 hours. Not sure if it's a bug of a kind, I played on the border map against a normal Klingon AI, they meta'd me with some planet bombers, got destroyed and well.. nothing came after that. Last hour of the match was just me waiting to zoom in on more sweet action, but it seemed the AI just gave up. I finally got brave enough to go closer to their world only to discover all they had left was 1 capital ship just traveling about, switching between their start world, and the next captured world.
We are all excited for this :)
From what I've read, and heard in their screenshots and streams, all ships will have a relevance later on since each ship has unique abilities. I assume another reason is ship-roster refill. Like if you lose a ship of the same type (cruiser for example) I assume you can build two of the "older" designs for a better price and speed until you can properly replace it. (also, if another comment appears saying the same thing, it was me, but I didn't realize I wasn't logged in, so massive apologies for that.)
So much yes, so much win. I can't wait for this. This will be the highlight of my birthday. Lol
You my friend, are my spirit animal lol
Do not worry AFT brother. When you do have one, you'll have the best thing ever to look forward to.
This is a beautiful moment. Stellar Parallax, we all salute you, and love you lol
@RonTheTrueFan,You've made your point, but some people just like to ignore the facts. changed lore is changed lore. Adding things to change them is changing lore. This guy doesn't seem to like that, so dismisses it. STD isn't very civilized with it's changes honestly.
You can add to lore and contradict other parts, which is exactly what they did.
It's contradicted literally everything lol
*raises hand* I am also guilty of basically stalking MODDB for their screen shots and stories.
