Game stuck on Launching (Plays the music once + then stops)
What the hell am I doing wrong???
Easily the best GoT mod now.
Only obvious improvements I can think of is the Essos faction trees, maybe some of the Westerosi trees as well.
And yeah I've seen the coming update helps with some polishing, at the moment some city scenes go into slow-mo/lag when entering occasionally and need a restart (Kings Landing, Sunspear etc) So hopefully they get cleaned up, to be honest I only enter them for the Varys questline so save beforehand.
Other than that it's fantastic! (more weapons would just be an extra bonus)
Although saying that, I don't remember the 'View all items' cheat being in before, so maybe it was put in accidentally instead of Find Item...

I don't think that menu was ever included anyway:) The items are easy enough to farm/find.

Hmm, a similar thing happened to me. I was at war with the north, and fielding a load of Stark troops (don't ask, I'm a pathetic cheating scoundrel) and morale was constantly low. Check the party morale screen for things as well.
Any luck catching him yet?
Also, when you play a dwarf with the over-shoulder/free camera; are you usually able to zoom? Or is that one thing that is lost when using those camera positions.
It's not the end of the world, still playable with the normal camera. Just curious :)
(Ctrl+¬ cheatmenu) I'm willing to pay at this point hehehe.

Damnit, tried messing around in menus.txt with the cheat menu to try enable it with some 0's to 1's but failed miserably.

Not sure what it is, but it ruins Dwarves for me sadly. Zooming in is such a useful feature that I can't do without it. God knows what code I'd have to play with to enable it haha. Thanks anyway.
Sorry to complain again but it seems a waste to re-work the Dwarves when you can't zoom in with the over-shoulder fixed camera. Unplayable as you can't aim and zoom, waste. Don't even get me started on the free camera, only half the buttons work to change the view. Tried every single keyboard button. (and with alt/ctrl)
Hahaha that all seems fair enough! I'll stop ranting on about the cheat menu hehe,even just a few fun role-play ones would be great but that's your choice obviously!

I know I've been a bit over-critical about this mod, and I apologise. The work put into it is incredible and I'm having a ball. The only cheat I really miss is being able to kill a random lord.
It meant I could play as the Good side, but kill a few of our commanders so that it felt more like we we're being destroyed and then could fight back with a set of rangers and save the day. Whereas now the Good side (especially up north) destroy all the Evil sides. Every play through I do, the Lothlorien/Rivendell troops just rape Moria + Misty mountains/Dol Guldur. And obviously Rhun are destroyed by Dwarves + Dale easily enough.
Also Isengard seem somewhat under-powered, considering they are super-orc/uruks. Rohan just take out River camp and Isengard camp in a few days.
Other than that, and the Dwarf camera failure - the mod is fantastic!
JUST PLEASE GOD GIVE ME SOME CHEATS!!! hahaha <3
FFS. Changed it ingame back to the over the shoulder camera and now it's just stuck as the free-mode one. seems if you change it it just sticks as that one, so you have to delete your save and start again.
Also the custom camera seems broken. I can use the Ctrl - and Ctrl + but the Ctrl pg up + Ctrl pg down don't work. Tried every other key as well, nothing.
Hmm, playing as a Dwarf with the over-shoulder camera. I seem unable to zoom with throwing/ranged weapons.. which is pretty useless. (I know this is probably from the mother-mod) I was just wondering if it's a bug?
Fair enough! It's probably an impossible task to balance it perfectly anyway. Makes it fun to play as evil as it's a challenge.
If I play as good I just wait for Gondor to die and then play as it's more interesting. I can make Dale the saviours of mankind hehe
Hey guys! Absolutely loving the new stuff! Playing as Dale feels incredible, can't wait to try Dwarves as soon as I can figure out how to get the camera bearable.
Just wanted to ask if you've got any tips to make the game harder, I want to play Good side but really struggle against evil. Like I want the elves to get completely wiped out, but they instantly destroy Dol G and Goblin Town, and Rohan always annihilate the Uruk-hai. It's only really Mordor that rapes Gondor.
That's fair enough! Sorry for being so negative, after actually playing as Dale I think the work you've done is incredible! And the options to quadruple influence makes it easy enough to get the special items. Dwarves look amazing as well! Great work guys:)
But I don't buy the developer cheat thing, even AAA games have cheats for players. It's the players that play the game after all. (except the testing cheats I guess, but they're not cheats - they're developer testing tools)
Question to Sid - What was the reasoning behind your decision to entirely remove the Cheat menu?
Damnit hahaha, why Sid why!?!?! Even just a lil patch file with it in would be great.
Then again me complaining probably won't persuade him. I'll just play the older version until it's figured out.
After more thought, the only reason I can think for it is 'We want it to be a proper playthrough etc' but this is a moot point anyway as you can still be invincible, ctrl - x for resource points/money, still export/import character to max them out.
Literally all it does it make it harder to have fun :(
When someone figures out how to enable the cheat menu please let me know!! Someone managed it for the Game of Thrones mods by going into the code/using module system, too complex for my dumb brain though :P
For the love of God I've waited for so long for this update and you remove the cheat menu... I've played M&B properly so many times that I just enjoy roleplaying and being a bad-***. Even the notoriously stubborn creator of Clash of Kings ended up adding it because all removing it does it limit the fun you can have. I guess I respect your decision but christ it makes no bloody sense. (Unless every cheat was utterly game destroying, which I doubt :P '
Sorry to be a downer guys, I just struggle to understand the logic :( guess I'll have to wait for someone more intelligent to figure out how to enable it through the code
Ah well I guess I have to wait for someone more intelligent than me to go through it all and get the code-line to enable it again....
