There's no such thing in vanilla, so it must be mod related.
I've found it. In mod folder find the folder common and then pop_types.txt file. There you have:

#general assimilation mtth, same for all pops
assimilation_chance =

section. There you have this section:

#########################
modifier = {
factor = -10
tag = LOU
}
modifier = {
factor = -10
tag = CHE
}

removing it removes the double -10% "Is" penalty.

I'm looking forward to this, because the it'd be amazing to take a deep dive into Middle Earth with mod like this. A well made mod for Bannerlord may be the best LOTR game ever.

I have only one question about a thing that prevents me from playing some other LOTR mod for Warband - I hope that alliances will be fixed in this mod? I think that many Tolkien fans would be very disappointed to see for example war between Imladris and Gondor.

"Oh, a new historic mod for WFAS I've never seen before! How cool!"

-notices two absurd fictional factions among the historic ones

"-Why, FFS?".

Game breaking bug - when I built a castle in my manor everything broke - I stopped receiving money from taxes, enterprises etc and ever time I was going to get weekly money - my inventory was replaced with some iron, pigs, pottery etc. Replaced - so all items I had in my inventory were deleted and this "taxes" I think were the only thing I had in my inventory. I had to revert to my much older save. This time I won't build a castle in my village/manor.

It'll be a problem, because it seems that Slavs during Vth century had no ruler at all. It was something like a tribal democracy. Also settlements were rather scarce with each clan living separately in his own land. But I'll look into it and maybe I'll find some useful info.

Well, they expanded a lot during Vth century, reaching as far as Elbe. In early VIth century, to ERE historian Procopius, they were already known as a settled people occupying vast territory. It seems the major migration took place shortly before and during the time of this mod - so they had an impact on Europe then. It's true however that written records are incredibly scarce. Archeology has more info to offer about them. I think something has to be done with them, because without them the vast pieces of the map would be disappointingly empty. What exactly would you need to add them as a faction? Examples of the clothes/weapons etc? Info about settlements? Historic lords will be hard to find, I'm afraid you'll have to stick to some random Slavic names.

There were few major languages in ERE in 467 AD - Latin (used at court, in offices, on coins and locally by common people), Greek (used by a lot of people), Coptic plus probably a lot of minor languages. It was quite obvious that, in mainly Greek part of the old empire, at least some documents were published in Greek. But is it sufficient enough to call that empire by a Greek name? I'd say that it is a good name but for a later ERE when it lost majority of non-Greek lands and when emperor, his court and his coins switched to Greek. And it happened few centuries after AD 467.

Are you sure that during the time of the mod greek name was indeed "official"? I thought that transition from latin to greek took place few centuries later.

Can't wait to see how you'll fill the "Slavic" lands. An interesting group of people arriving and mixing with the existing population, large enough to transform formerly germanic population to ultimately slavic one.

Onesuggestion if I may - I think it's good when good quality items (weapons, armor, horses) are quite expensive (no less than 20 000). It gives additional goal to reach and satisfaction when you finally was able to afford good quality gear. If you can easily afford the best gear in the game at the beginning - then what's the point of it actually?

Maybe because about half of Europe = Slavs and they are usually underrepresented in the so called "western" games.

I have a strange problem with this mod. I downloaded it, but wanted to change town and npc names. I did it as usual - in parties.txt. and troops.txt. Changes saved, but in game when I load the mod - there are still original names. Then I used Morghs editor - but it shows that names are changed, yet in game I still have old ones. There's literally no file I know from which game could "take" old names - and yet they are still present when I start new game. How is that possible? Do I have to delete something to force game to regenerate names from the new, edited file or what?
