Computer Programmer, i enjoy modding pc games, started with sins of a solar empire, then also modded halo2,empire at war,battlefront 2, forces of corruption, mass effect and supreme commander. I also make web pages. Havent got many of my old mods so nothing to upload but if anyone needs a bit of help making mods, im available

Hey if anyone knows, how do i save and exit the map editor, because i just spent 2 hours making a killer map terran empire vs dominion over earth, then i just couldnt find how to save it so i just closed it

any help?

no, but the original FOC map pack is smaller? though stupid petroglyph put planets in the wrong place

you know in the fleet screen you have a yellow box in the top left if you put a ship inh there its the only ship to jump in, every other ship waits in the reinforcement box. so put a corvette in there and as soon as the battle starts jump in 2-3 more corvettes. only jump in venators when you have visibility as close to their station or forces as you can get

are your sure? maybe it varies for the campaign type but jsut controlling core worlds and 1 or 2 middle rim, i get 12k income. besides i never spend money on fighters.

at the start, retreat all your forces to the core worlds and only build mines, farms etc on any middle and outer planets. and for a space tactic, warp in 3 corvettes, boost towards their forces then warp in your venators right on top of them and your acclamators right behind, the acclamators will drop their fighters and the venators can hold against fire from battleships

remember not to drop acclaamtors in until after your venators or they will get destroyed fast, acclamators are only useful for light support

and remeber what i said about jedi first so the enemy dont have a station (easy but i dont find it challenging enough if they dont have a station)

ok this is really bothering me, if people are really having trouble, just take 4-6 jedi to a planet and you should be able to defeat the droids and they will lose their space station, then attack with corvettes and 4 venators. its really not that hard, aside from the alpha fleet with the mandator class, my normal attack fleets are 6 venators and 12 corvettes and i never lose more than 1 venator

is your game patched to latest version? if it is then your missing XML, how did you install the mod?

ok now im more sorry for triple post, but scratch what i said. i figured it out it was a simple mix up. btw im liking this game now, probably best mod ive tried an i tried a lot.
For those people saying the computer isnt building and moving:
delete the AI folder in data\scripts and the AI folder in XML, then the AI will act like it did in normal FOC which is better than no response ^-^

i dunno if im missing something here but i can't launch any battles, ive tried skirmish and galactic campaign with all campaigns. every time i go to actually start a battle the game crashes. i can go right to tech 5 and build ships and units i just cant fight a battle. anyone had this problem or know a fix?

Sorry to double post, but there was no activity on the other page

and just a note, the petro mod launcher doesnt work so i link to mods with a batch file usually, i tried replacing default xml as well but niether work
