Fot those of you having trouble installing this with the steam version, here's what worked.
Extract the files into steam/steamapps/companyofheroes
Go into steam and right click coh
Go to properties/set launch options
Paste -mod CheatMod -dev
Will work with new steam version
Well it's a nice mod, but when I downloaded it I didn't realize it changed more than just the camera. Lots of death screams repeated over and over that really don't fit, and the new skin for Max is really poorly done. Imo I wish this changed just the camera and nothing else. If you're looking for just a straight up fps mod look somewhere else. Don't let that stop you from checking this out though, I did have some fun with it until the screams got so repetitive I thought I might have a seizure.
Are people actually playing this?? Any active servers?? I don't really want to download it and find out no one even plays it anymore. Looks really cool though, I'd like to try it out.
Finally decided to buy a copy of earned in blood and saw Steam had a package deal on all three games for 19.99. I'm going back to France and kicking Hitler in his giant, grey, mp40 wielding balls, not once but three times lol
Love this mod, brings new life to a game I once thought was pretty boring after beating it a couple times.
Man I was pretty stoked for lurk. Hopefully we see some new awesome stuff from you guys though, after playing ro and ro2 I fell in love with the unreal engine. A fresh new game in the spirit of the stalker series would be very much welcomed though, even with LA being released the whole series just seems stale to me. I've played all 3 games countless times, discovered most of whats there to be found, and honestly it's just not as terrifying of an experience as it once was for me.
So good luck on your next project whatever you guys decide to do, I'll look forward to playing whatever you guys throw out here to the community.
So, after being out for what, 5 months, I havent gotten any further than the bar area, my current save hasn't gotten out of agroprom yet lol Any way to load a save game in life?? I think I've made a mistake by becoming an adult, I don't have time for fun anymore :(
You should be able to change that in your config files I think. I cant find my installation folder and Im about to go to bed, but there might be something about tracers in the config files. I know you can adjust it's accuracy and hit power but I havent tried anything other than that myself.
I still think Stalker looks best in r1. My old computer could only run SHoC in static lighting on low settings. When I finally upgraded I thought using full dynamic lighting took away some of the atmosphere for me, just didn't look as gloomy as I was used to I guess. The increase in textures and view distance made a huge difference for the better though.
Havent gotten out of the Cordon yet but I can say I'm finally returning to a lost love, thanks Dezowave!!

Japanese commanders and officers were anything but incompetent, they made the Marines pay dearly one island at a time. The Russians have pretty rough training though, but rougher training from hard lessons learned makes tougher fighters and smarter soldiers.
I see. Any eta on third patch then?? Still going to reinstall everything and see whats changed in the second patch , had a blast/mini heart attack in the dark valley playing with the first patch.
Havent had a chance to play the second patch yet, plan on doing so sometime tomorrow. Are there any gamebreaking bugs I should worry about?? Any certain things that still cause ctd's or the story getting stuck??
Try turning your textures and anti aliasing down, or set everything to about medium and play around with the settings. I have a lot of issues with my framerate too, but they're all hardware issues. If you have the loot pick up a new gpu, I hear gtx 550's are pretty nice for the price, and they support DX11. I'm thinking about ordering one myself with a new psu when I'm able to.
Might be a stupid question but is that the full change log?? Seems kinda short. Cant remember where the link was for the change long way before release.
Well once the next patch is out and the game is all polished Im sure theres going to be some people working on mods for it. I'd like to see someone take the Oblivion Lost approach to it though personally, by far one of my favorite mods for SHoC, which I believe was the base for Complete.
No. Lost Alpha isn't a mod, so mods for SHoC arent going to work with LA at all.
I agree completely that hardcore games are a matter of choice and dont necessarily make a game any better, in fact could ruin a game for some players. I do think increasing the AI difficulty would be an improvement though. I always feel much more accomplished fighting through a small group of maybe 5-6 guys that made me really work for it rather than 20-30 guys that just kill you by sheer volume of fire alone. The AI have always been quite predictable to me in the Stalker series, often times coming across some wild dogs was more problematic for me than actual people. And the biggest issue I have with AI is how easily they detect you, even during the day when I should be hidden Im quickly spotted and shot at. Im not sure how the AI is in LA as far as detection since I havent actually tested that out for myself yet, I currently have LA uninstalled until the next patch anyway, but Im assuming they're much like the AI from previous games. Well thats my opinion anyway, some improvements made to how the AI detect the player and how they react to being ambushed would be quite an improvement in gameplay I think, just comes down to what xray is capable of doing and what the devs have time for really.
I dont mean for anyone to take this as me criticizing the game or anything, I'm still waiting patiently myself for the next patch and would just like to give some of my opinions on what could possibly make a better experience for at least most of you.

Why are you sitting around waiting for a game patch?? Get out of the house and deal with life. I feel like no one realizes how much time it's going to take to work out all the bugs. Xray is well known for being buggy as all hell, and you people just expect results overnight, it's not gonna be that easy so wait patiently and let them work on this when their schedule allows. They do have lives other than this you know, so quit being an *******.
You need to understand theres A LOT of things to be worked on to make LA as stable as possible, and its gonna take a while. If you would pay attention you would know they're still trying to fix some things they dont quite have figured out yet. Try being patient, they'll release the patch when they're ready.
I havent played too many mods for CS so I couldnt honestly say, but Mystery looked pretty cool. I think its more of a texture mod than anything else but Im pretty sure it could be used with other mods.
You mean the military documents?? They're on the third floor of the institute in agroprom.
Try setting the folder permissions so you have full control over them under properties, that might help. Im not sure what you mean by a password but sometimes folders dont let you change things because of that, not sure if that could prevent you from replacing files within the folder though.
So has the second patch come out yet or just the changelog?? I dont see any links to it or anything. Been holding off on LA till the next patch since it requires a new game.
Loot bodies. Pick up as many weapons of the caliber you need as you can, right click and unload. As for medical supplies and cash, do work for traders and loot stashes. Sell anything you can live without, keep only what you need. You should have better income the further into the game you get as long as you ration things out as best you can.
I like it, adds to the feeling that people actually live in the zone rather than just running around and feeling completely alone outside of camps and ****. Besides, why wouldn't there be spam messages where internet is used?? You and I both know how often we gotta clear out the spam folder in our emails. Why not learn to try new things rather than complain, because in all honesty the dezowave guys didnt even have to make this wonderful game.
