I solved it, i dunno how this fixed it but after i moved the ap folder to my desktop and back i suddenly could create pickupkit objectspawners in bf2editor...

any idea how to install it for the alpha project mod?

sorry to bother you, but with a lot of headscratching and not much headway i need some help. i have added a few maps to alpha project and they work great but then i had to go and think " maybe there should be som pickupkits here". so the question is: how do i add pickupkits to maps? it would certainly make the maps more fun to play.

some maps crashes more frequently with many bots, but maps from other mods runs good when added to alpha project. this link explains how to add maps, Moddb.com.

try creating a local server with the standalone server launcher and then joining that server, that is usually alot more stable.

check if bf2 and ap has access trough the firewall

or get bf2 revive launcher and the bf2 standalone-server
there is a steam group for alpha project with instructions on how to play online.

And about the server we are usually just 3 persons so we play co-op with bots

well depending on rifle the damage output can be very high or low, for the bolt action rifles i would increase length of shot and for the semi-automatic i would also increase damage slightly.

but remember to always keep a clean version of the mod in case something goes wrong or you wish to join a server.

also there is a steam group for this mod, when the numbers in the group grows i will host a server for ap.

How to play online

Step 1. Register for BF2 Revive project

Step 2. Download revive-launcher[300 mb]

Alpha Ain´t dead
i have been looking into ways to revieve it and found BF2 revive project it brought back online suppurt for bf2 vanilla and if you use their revive launcher it even support Alpha project online.

There is a steam group that i created called BF2 Alpha project with instructions on how to play online.

To prove it works i will run a online server 24/7 until 17/4

so i have tweaked my version of alpha project, bots are no longer stupid they are DANGEROUS, i changed the scar-h to engineer and the ak5-d to medic (icons in menu doesnt work properly but it doesn´t affect gameplay) i gave the glock 18 more ammo (standard mag is 33 bullets). now i have tried to give the ak5-d acog sights and to add the grappling hook from bf2 x-pack (in progress) but due to lack of time i would aprecciate if a real modder could help me with the ak5-d and the grappling hook.

message to the modders: in the map Crossfire 64 There is a pickup sniper rifle but you have to do some serious parkour to get to it, Why?
