quickie tutorial
a new idea I just had!
In darkplaces (or a fork):
bind ' "toggle r_showbboxes 0 3"
r_showbboxes is "0" ["0"] shows bounding boxes of server entities, value controls opacity scaling (1 = 10%, 10 = 100%)
This lets you check out bounding boxes of ents
white is SOLID_NOT - no touch, no block
magenta is SOLID_TRIGGER - can be touched but doesnt block
green is SOLID_BBOX - an ent which has a solid bounding box, whatever self.mins - self.maxs size is - blocks other solids
red is SOLID_SLIDEBOX - monsters and players but same as BBOX - blocks
blue is SOLID_BSP - solid conforms to brush set, just like a map - blocks
