So, i am going to get this rifle. Is it really as good as it seems ?
Its superior to any AK in any direction in all reviews. Also, it shares only ammo with AK-47, its based on Stg44. I heard its more accurate, it jams less, its easier to maintain etc. Also, bolt stays open after last shot.
So, should i get this or some AK ? I am up for this, yet i dont have any experience with 7.62 caliber rifles so i am looking for help.
Well anything that jams less and is easier to maintain than an AK is already super-duper to me, not that I would know >< And a bolt open would really help with empty reloads, provided the bolt-release is on the left and you're right handed, so you don't have to do that awkward reach-under-the-gun-with-your-left-hand like-you're-scratching-your-right-shoulder maneuver to pull the charging handle back... But I have zero experience with firearms; I'm Asian, so meh =|

The AK is with out a doubt simpler and cheaper to buy over this thing but that said it is just as reliable as an AK and it can also be loaded using stripper clips from the sks by locking the bolt back. Over all its a great rifle and I do recommend getting one.
Well, i actually can get it for just 800 bucks. Thats cheaper than any AK variant that i could get.

w00t? AK is way cheaper than vz.58. If you want you can buy ak-47 or akm for around 200$.
Well, there is difference between US built crappy AK and genuie Czech built Vzor 58.
I see but, really AK is much cheaper. Once time when i was in Katowice I had a proposition to buy an AK for 50$. Good condition with second mag but without ammo. U must search for any occasion. Very often some peoples want to sell their AK for few bucks. In US you have better because you buy weapon muuuuuuuuch easier than in Poland.
Yeah, price isnt any big problem for me. It seems that price and avaibality of parts are only advantages of an AK.
Don't forget reliability, [pure stopping power, semi auto fire that can hit targets over 800 meters .... Id say the US versions are pretty decent just depends on who you buy from and where.

Id go for a real akm because they are cool and epic!
I would go for the Vz.58 or an actual AK47(the old ones with folding stocks, not wood stock). The Vz58 and AK47 as they also look better than an AKM.
