The end is nigh. The infected are lurking everywhere and chances of survival are slim. Left 4 Dead focuses on the story of 4 individuals and their harrowing battles against the hordes of the infected that roam the streets. What about other survivors? What would they look like and what kind of deformed monstrosities would they be up against?
The Bullersten is in a strange stage of infection. He has not yet reached the full stages of infection. So he is not as big as some of the other "infected", however he is bigger than the normal "infected". his certain stage of infection leaves the Bullersten in a fortunate state (or unfortunate if you are a survivor). He is big enough to provide the danger that the larger infected bring. Yet he is small enough to run large distances. The infection began on his back, as a result, his back is far more advanced in the infection process than the rest of his body. The infection started to show the physical deformations, and began to make its way around the body. The Bullersten has a giant deformation on his back, which adds a lot of weight. The back deformation began to spread to his stomach, spreading over his ribs. His legs also started to show signs of infection. A cut on his left foot, led to the deformation of the tissue, leaving him with a giant mass of hardened tissue, blood and skin as a foot. From his upper back, the deformations began to occur around his neck, creeping onto his chest and crawling up to his face. Boils, filled with puss, began to form in the early stages of the deformations. As it ages, it begins to turn hard and turn grey. One boil on his stomach began to harden, the rest are still mostly fresh. Due to the level of body waste and infected body liquids in the boils, if one of them were to rupture or be shot, they would explode. If this liquid puss where to land on a "survivors" skin, they would receive mild burns and stings.

I know this is VERY late, but I think that his main weakness is his sporadic behavior, like the virals from Dying Light. Which means that he would make out human words and scream in pain, giving away his location, and sometimes resisting to hurt the survivors. but at the same time being a feral and very quick but weak infected.
