Yep, the irony of "peaceful" religions.
Its funny though...they are happy and peacful in the non "specific" religious countries of which they originate, yet in countries like the U.S., U.k. etc they are happy and peacful.
in my view its just because there is nothing better to do than riot.
They are very peaceful- if your muslim
but thats how all ingroups work
love those who are like you hate those who arent. Thats all religion is an ancient backwards dogmatic club that makes people feel special, and allows them to feel superior to outsiders. and there how you get a religious war.

I don't understand how this people calls themselves Muslim's when they don't follow it's ideals in the first place.
Sure I'm like all other is angry and want that guys punished for insulting out religion and society in large, but rampaging though you're own country will only help hip to succeed his goal, which is quite obliviously is discredit Muslims.

rkraptor you have a good point, from what i remember of the Koran it was pretty peaceful- from what i read it seemed to only allow violence in the most extreme of circumstances.
The guy who made that film was an *** but that doesnt mean you should kill people over it,
when i was religious i used to think of it this way. god (Allah)is all powerful correct? which means he doesnt need human protection or vengence on his behalf- so these people taking vengence and showing anger are infact claiming to be more powerful than Allah because they think Allah needs there protection. they are committing a major sin in this respect.
This is partly why i laugh when any religious person claims they have to defend there faith, because they are claiming to be greater than there god- and are committing a major sin.

I agree with you 100%. But there is a little problem here. In our society(I think you know very well that Islam is actually a civilization rather then a Religion) there is a law that forbids people from insulting Muhammad, we are to tolerate insults about Allah but simply not about Muhammad. Most of the Muslims like me wants him to be delivered to a Islamic court and stand trial for his crimes, nothing more.
As for the killing in Libya I suspect they are being done by former pro Gaddafi-force who are using this as an excuse to cover their tracks.
Violence is not our way Deer_Hunter, it never was.
I know violence isnt your way, i have read the most of the Koran and if seemed to me to be the most peaceful of the montheisic holy books i have read.
he wont go on trial in an islamic court- america has laws protecting freedom of speech and freedom of religion. and will not give there citizens up to be exectued even if they are a ***. are laws do not allow us to prosecute someone for any religious offence, because are laws are secular and we believe that religion and government need to stay apart. This is why all faiths can practice freely in the US.
I believe he will go to prison though, not for insulting muhammad but for breaking several american laws. and the actors in the film are sueing him because he lied to them about what the film was about (they were told it was going to be a respectful story about people on the Saudi Arabian penninusla and a comet, or something like that anyways)
