Can you push back against fate, live among ruthless gangs and fight back the zombie horde, with just a handful of ragtag militias to help you?
Enjoy an unique blend of old school turn-based strategy, post-apoc survival mechanics and a thrilling RPG storyline. With all the benefits of the modern Unreal Engine, real bullet ballistics, day/night cycle, fire with dynamic material consumption and spread, advanced sound propagation mechanics, AI NPCs with independent lives and faction based morals and, hunger, thirst, wounds and sickness and last but not least, advanced modding support.
Starting as an amnesic survivor, rescued half dead by the kind people of Urban city shelter, somewhere in backwater south of USA, you need to raise up and become a true leader, rebuild the pillaged camp and bring hope back in the hearts of the survivors. Then venture out to negotiate alliances with ruthless factions or go to war against them. And finally, bet everything you have and know to survive an impending return of the massive zombie horde that almost ended civilization just two years before.
The new Prologue Demo includes all the new features of the last year of development. We migrated the game to the latest production Unreal Engine early this year, with native 4k support and increased support for new OSs. In addition we've overhauled the entire inventory and loot management system, with intuitive loot placement (no more spam cans in bedroom dressers and steaks under the hood of cars), visual hints on lootable containers (car hoods pop out, cupboard doors open when looted) and a balanced loot spread to fit the survival theme.
The shelter economy is now active, with initial production and consumption meters working, so all that work hauling stuff back home has a satisfying end goal.
Finally the AI is at the second iteration and going on third, combat is visceral and integrated into the logical flow of the campaign and RPG scripting has been streamlined to make questing more interesting and logical.

Forsaken Fortress vibes here...Alpha build to change my mind?
New demo is up, enjoy!
Love it.Just an idea:add some color to tell who´s friend or foe.
As of August alpha version we do have red overlay for enemies (pulsating so not to break immersion) and chevrons above the heads of the alert enemies.
This looks fantastic, will buildings be destructible or at least the windows?
You can break windows and use them as entry point, yes.
