The fall of the dawn is planned to be an RPG which during the game will allow players to move up the ranks of the "Crusaders" during a period of cleansing a newly conquered state, this is not done by killing villagers or anything evil like that, it is in fact done by removing monsters/animals the crusaders find could be a threat to them from the island along with raiding bandit camps and removing outlaws from towns. During this game the players will move up from a low recruit to a veteran captain, while earning gear and weapons from your rank. This game will support up to 8 players going through the epic journey together.
Today we are happy to announce our newest member to the team Alex Green, Alex will be dealing with the music side of our games, with his help we are nearing the release of our next reveal video, which should be a lot more action packed then our last one actually showing the monster in action.
We would like to remind people while we are not actively looking for new team members if you message me with some of your work I am always happy to look at it and consider bringing you on to the team.
In other news our new site is at a point where we are ready to have members sign up, the forums and news section are still a work in progress being a bare bones forums, but it allows us to talk to our users much more and we like that, we read every single post left here and on the forums so if you want to give us some feedback, become a tester or just let us know of what you think would be a cool thing to have in the game come check out our forums at www.goldenplategames.com , just click on the forums section and make an account, hope to see you there.
Thanks for all of the support on the games development so far.
Crawling the dungeons, open maps with friends and some gameplay video footage coming very soon
Blocking and dodging is something the whole team has wanted to do but its harder then we first thought
Testing away many features, all seems to be going well but our level designer has fallen ill.

So it's been almost a year since the video update was posted. How is the game progressing? Looks promising.
unity, unreal series and half series are the best engines ever made.
looks interesting, is linux support planned?
Thanks very much, and the engine that unity has just bought in support for linux so we have high hopes we can release a version of our game for linux users.
ok great thanks!
as fellow developers i want to ask you guys to help MERP:
by help i mean support them and share the news that they are being attacked by WB.
Hey man, I personally have been following that mod on an off for a while now, its a huge shame what's happening right now to it, I have signed the petition though and I hope its able to continue, the downside is that warner brothers are well within there rights to issue a cease and desist and it should not be said that they are being "attacked", but lets hope they pull a bungie and realise that this game will help boost there fanbase, not damage it.
I had a browse through the screenies, the video and listened a bit to Alex's music. It seems like you have got the recipe to something with some serious potential. The environments look stunning and I am psyched to see what you come up with in terms of immersion and storytelling.
Good luck to you guys, I am definitely tracking!
Thanks very much for the support.
