It has been 6 days since we have launched our brand new short horror game The Creature In My Dreams and all we can say is, it was a massive success!

We are still getting so many positive comments and an overwhelming amount of support! None of this could have been made possible without you, so we want to share with you some of our game statistics! These are not only just numbers to us, but are valuable contributions that include YOU!

As of the time of this article our game has almost reached 8000 PLAYS worldwide in only 6 DAYS! Around 77% are still coming from playing directly on the browser, combined with now being featured in almost 250 of YOUR game collections!

There are countless gameplay videos and streams on YouTube in different languages enjoying our short and terrifying horror experience! We are hugely grateful for each and every single one of you...

As many of you can probably guess, we are not full time indie game developers. What we do here is a hobby that we truly enjoy doing in our free time. Crafting our game The Creature In My Dreams took in total around 7 days to make from almost scratch.

After publishing our game, we have dedicated another 7 days listening to your feedback and having some great conversations with you in the comments of our game page. It was certainly a lot of fun!

Now that we can see how our project has been met with an overwhelming amount of support & interest, we will be keeping your feedback in mind for any of our future projects. There will very likely be some!

We do have a trend of releasing games suddenly out of nowhere. We don't really post any devlogs or infos while crafting our games, we post them only after they are released.

Our game has been made in just around a week, so this makes us eligible for many of the currently ongoing game jams! So, we have decided to join 3 of them to have a little bit of fun! We certainly had a great time crafting this short horror experience and would love to see other talented developers!

We believe indie games are where creativity and genuine passion blooms. Being indie developers ourselves, we wholeheartedly support and encourage other fellow indie developers to take part in these competitions as well.

Dreams are indeed quite strange. Since we don't have a device that can record one's dreams yet, there isn't a solid way that we can "prove" it.

However, you can choose to believe us, as what we are about to tell you is actually real...

(The next parts contain mild spoilers about the game, so feel free to play it first before reading.)

" The events that took place in our game happened way before I was a game developer, or had any intentions to make a game about any of this.

This dream is the first of many dreams I had about this creature. Back then I was a kid and my parents would actually leave the hallway light on for me to fall asleep easier.

It is true that one night I was in a state where I did not know I was asleep or not. I saw a shadowy figure, almost like a floating balloon with a not so visible body, pass by my door. The layout of the house in the game is almost identical to the one in the real world.

I did, for whatever reason, get up to check what it was. As I entered the living room I saw my long shadow reflecting into the room, then I started seeing flashing lights, which is then represented by the TV in the game.

The next parts of the game are made up of elements taken from my other dreams I had about this creature. Many years have passed since the first dream and I would come across this creature every now and then.

Sometimes I would go years without seeing this creature and sometimes I would see it two nights in a row.

In these dreams the creature is always watching me from afar, whether it be the woods, the rooftops of buildings or my own home, making his terrifying presence known. "

Our game is tailored using these memories and is built in such a way to make you, the player, experience an actual terrifying nightmare.
