Description

This is my shot at making a decent expansion for Star Trek Starfleet Command 3. As a whole the mod adds 3 new empires and ships from 10 new cultures, several new missions and skirmish scripts, overall faster gameplay, and much improved graphics. In addition the game now supports widescreen resolutions and is compatible with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. I hope you enjoy it. This all-in-one version comes with an installer that automatically takes care of all necessary patching and configuration.

Love the graphics upgrade and the new ships. Is it possible to change something in an INI file to reset the speed and weapons power changes that were made though?

In the Assets/CommonSettings folder you'll find the files "PowerItems" and "WeaponItems". Change the value of "Efficiency" for an impulse engine item in "PowerItems" to change speeds, change the value of "Damage" for a weapon in "WeaponItems" to change the damage output of that weapon.

Help!

This sounds great.

After not being able to get SFC3 to work for ages, I came across this after searching online.

I did a fresh install of SFC3 from the original disk onto my HP desktop which is running the latest update of Windows 10 Home.

I then downloaded the mod and ran the update application.

The game starts and gives me the menus, but as soon as I try to launch a mission, the 'loading' screen comes up, gets stuck on the very first portion of the progress bar, and then the game crashes to desktop displaying this:

Hmmm, try reinstalling (and by "update application" you mean the setup.exe from my mod right, not the 1.01 patch which is already included in the setup.exe, right?). This game is notoriously buggy with installations. If that doesn't help then go into the folder where you downloaded the mod and look for the "JanB Extras" folder, then inside that folder look for the "HD1610" (if you have a 16:10 resolution on your monitor), or "HD169" (if you have a 16:9 resolution) and copy the Assets/Sprites/sprites.q3 file to your game folder/Assets/Sprites. Let me know if it works.

I've noticed that the mod plays fine overall, but for some reason the transporter function no longer seems to work. my compliment says i have 12 marines on board, but once i'm playing a skirmish there is no body available to beam over and infiltrate the enemy ship.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

ok...i think it was my mistake with the texture bug..grafic is now fine and has no errors...

but sometimes in a fight the game crash...anybody with the same Problem?

Some Conquest Mode missions still have bugs in them, this shows with a load error when you start the mission, you can click on "ignore" and the mission should load. But sometimes the game just crashes when it hits bugs from the base game itself (remember the game was always quite buggy, even without any mods).

would it be possible to create a res mod for 2560x1440? I would like to use my monitor's native resolution. Thank you very much.

Oh, and another thing, "Oirams' SFC3 Ship Edit", any chance to making it work with your mod? It just says, I've not selected a correct SFC3 folder :(
