The first elevator is bugged for me using Ironwail 0.7.0, I get damaged by something invisible and the elevator changes directions.

I forgot to add in the readme that if running with Iron Wail vertical sync must be turned on in the menue.
I managed to replicate this glitch last night turning verical sync off. You just end up going up and down in the elevator.
Fixed by turning vertical sync on.

I can't get this to run. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Using latest version of Quakespasm-Spiked. After typing "game peril" into the console it says it switches to Peril, but whatsoever changes. Only able to access standard Quake maps.

Edit: Nevermind I figured it out. It's because the instructions tell you to launch with "game peril" but the folder is called peril3.0 so you actually need to launch with "game peril3.0" unless you change the name of the folder.

Thankyou.
I will update the readme to say peril3.0 or whatever the current version is.

I do have a separate issue though. For some reason every gun I pick up seems to shoot below where my actual crosshair is pointing so I need to point my crosshair above enemies heads in order to shoot at them. Any idea how to fix that?

Thats an interesting one...
The mod is basically Arcane Dimensions code base, with mostly custom sounds, maps, textures, and a few old well used weapon skins and monster model replacements. Do you get the same issue if you play AD?
Do you think its a screen resolution type issue,or to do with the bounding boxes of the monsters?

I think it might be an issue with Quakespasm-Spiked. Maybe a version mismatch? Playing on the latest dev release. I played Arcane Dimensions using the Darkplaces engine and didn't have any issues.

In any case for now I just decided to turn off the crosshair entirely so it's not distracting. Though I think there might be a larger issue at play using this version of Quakespasm-Spiked as none of the weather effects seem to be working. When you developed this and play it do you use the 32bit version of Quakespasm-Spiked or the 64bit version?

Are you sure you're using Quakespasm-SPIKED and not Quakespasm btw? In the readme it says you suggest v0.93.2 of Quakespasm-SPIKED, but as far as I know Quakespasm-SPIKED doesn't have versioning like that. There is a v0.93.2 of the original Quakespasm though.

Definitely qss,but 64 bit.
I got the version number from a readme fike from within the qss folder.
I cant seem to find the same version again though.
I will have a try with a newer version, although i am tending to play with Ironwail now, missing the weather effects though.
I think the complicated number of sourceports and compatability issues and the lack of ready to play mods for quake is a big turnoff to new players.
Why does it have to be so complicated to play a mod?

Pretty wild that it took like 2 hours just to get to the difficulty selection.

Lol.
You have to work hard to reach the skill selection.

What's up with the anime girl in the status bar ?
My shotgun and arm texture look all ****** up, everything is off center in the menu.

Edit: fixed it by switching to ironwail

This needs to be on the actual Peril mod-page Moddb.com instead of being in the files section.
