Another obscure Half-Life deathmatch map being resurrected from archives of mine It's a weird Half-Life DM map set on a lab The creator is unknown (because the readme file is lost)
Seems like a fairly slapdash attempt at a HLDM layout and it doesn't look as though there are a lot of player start points around the map. It seems as though they only placed spawn points in the lab area and nowhere else, despite the map being quite large. This means that players will either duke it out with pistols in one area or get lost in the various labyrinths below without running into another player for ages.
Furthermore, the map features far too many doors that require interaction to open, which is a pace killer in deathmatch maps. Best to keep the player moving as much as possible, without stopping to hit a switch to open a door or interacting with the door itself with no indication of which door requires which input.
There are some fun little interactive elements, some of which are useless and others which would make for fun traps, but these are so far from the spawn points its unlikely you'd ever use them.
Yep
this is one of those maps that good on paper but not so much in practice
