Gunman Chronicles is a futuristic first-person shooter computer game using the Half-Life game engine. It was originally planned as a total conversion for Quake; it then switched games to Quake II, followed by another switch to Half-Life, before being spotted by Valve Software and released as a stand-alone retail product in 2000.
This is a patch for Rewolf's retail game Gunman Chronicles to make it work properly as Half-Life mod in Steam. This is to make the game playable once again as its original standalone WON incarnation has many compatibility issues with modern systems.

What's the point of uploading it then?
to make this working smooth on stand-alone 4554 build of engine
just tried, it works. playing it in fullhd. 100fps.
How did you get it to work?
The game turns on. The title loads. The game won't start when I press the play button.
Tried this patch years ago on two different systems (WinXP & Win7) and I experienced the same bug, the game freezes up when you are by the Mayan levels, so you have to restart not only the game itself but your PC.
It's a really annoying and gamebreaking bug that never got any fix AFAIK.
Luckily, this guy found a solution that turns out to be easier and works without using any third party patch:
