A breakout clone created for Ludum Dare Mini 72. First full game to use the synthpressure engine.
After spending a lot of time trying to build procedural sounds for effects and music I decided this last week that it was a lost cause. Instead now I'm looking at building music by hand on a keyboard. I'm also intending on building sound effects by hand as well, but I don't own the equipment for it yet.
The good news is that this seems much easier for me than doing it procedurally. So far I was able to record one short tune for the game already. After updating the game engine to be able to stop a sound effect or modify it's volume I feel pretty good about the development of audio in the game.
My current goal for the next release would be to include a tune for each of the rooms (menu, ingame, high score) and to have some sound effects (bounce against solid tile, bounce against breakable tile, bounce against paddle, bounce against catcher).
