One day, a man known only as the "King of the Seas" led a huge army and conquered the undersea world. Not stopping there, he closed the six drains of the world, causing the ocean to steadily flood over everything. With no place to go, the land dwellers are getting hopeless. Now, it's up to you to save the day!

Enjoy Drains and many other great games on Desura.
We've just spend almost 2 years working on this project at Pathea Games, and it's finally done!
Linux support?
Nope, sorry. Torque is only Windows at the moment.
Hi there!
I have a problem running this game and I have no idea what might cause it and how to fix this... First, the videos make the game crash (with the obligatory "Drains.exe has encountered a problem and stopped" stuff). Figured I'd watch the intros from the .ogg files instead and then remove them and try running the game. Much to my surprise, it worked. However, now it seems like whenever the game loads, all I can see is a huge grey screen with the HUD elements and the occasional messages and menus that appear. I noticed that the engine loads fine, and for a bleak second the game is "visible", but then it gets that grey overlay and I can't see anything... This doesn't happen in the menu, in which I can see the boat just fne, with all the world around it. I tried tweaking the video settings around and it didn't help.
Is there any known fix for this? I googled this problem but it didn't show any results for it (nor for the Torque engine in general). Or could it be a problem that I use an old PC? I have a GeForce 6600 series graphics card... but the game loaded just fine, it's the "greyness" only that makes it unplayable; hell, it didn't even lag on some lower settings. Any help would be appreciated; this game looks really intriguing and I'd love to play it.
Hi, the intro problem's probably due to low CPU speed. The grey problem is probably due to the graphics card. Check the options menu on the main menu, if you can change the lighting setting to anything beyond the lowest that should fix it. The grey is actually a water plane in front of the camera that does the water wavy effect. When the lighting is turned to the lowest setting, it becomes forward rendering, and thus the shader on the water plane no longer works, causing it to turn grey. Hope that helps!
No sound here. My machine has a Realtek sound chip which has caused a problem with one or two other games but it's apparently popular too :(
The ESC menu didn't work either. W and S went up and down but RETURN or any other key didn't activate the option. Looks pretty, even with limited options (no graphics options?)
Oh, use the j key in place for "enter." The game was designed for pads, so we designed the keyboard layout like a gamepad.
Ah, found the options menu and fixed the sound. Phew!
Yeah, it's a problem with Torque when compiling, so there's not too much we can do about it. If you don't have OpenAL support, you'll need to set the option to DirectSound every time.
I played the demo, but I coudn't configure the gamepad.
Does the full version has gamepad support?
the soundtrack is EPIC!!
