Chex Quest, made by Digital Café, is a total conversion of The Ultimate DooM. It was released in boxes of Chex Cereal in 1996, becoming the first game to be included in a cereal box. When it was released, it increased sales by over 200%. It then went on to win both the Golden Reggie Award for Promotional Achievement, and the Silver EFFIE Award for Advertising Effectiveness.
Description
Play the next installment of Chex Quest as the planet of Chex Bazoik, including the Chex United Federation is attacked by Flemoid meteorites. Somewhere on the planet is the central staging area of the Goo menace building up its army of Flemoids. The Intergalactic Federation of Snacks' outpost on the remote planet of Bazoik has been overrun by evil cereal-eating creatures from another dimension! These slimy "Flemoids" have taken the citizens of Bazoik captive and it is up to you and the Chex Mix Squadron to free them. Thankfully you have a handy array of "zorching" devices which can send these invaders back to their home dimension so you can succeed in your mission.
