You'll battle cultists, gargoyles, zombies, hellhounds, and an unholy host of other terrors in your quest to stop Tchernobog. You must not only defeat the Cabal--you must scour its dread name from human memory. If that means eradicating everyone and everything the Cabal has ever tainted, so be it. Of course, you'll first have to make your way through fortresses, castles, mines, mansions, and estates guarded and kept by Tchernobog's malevolent servants. Fortunately, it is wits that make the hero, and although you're in serious danger of losing yours, you've got enough left to improvise some pretty effective tools of destruction. Aerosol hairspray can be frightening enough on its own, but apply it to a lighter flame and you've got an instant flamethrower (kids, don't try this at home!). Likewise, a flare gun can brighten your prospects considerably against even the grimmest odds, which is to say nothing for shotguns, Tommy guns, and dynamite. Who knows,...

Hello!
Thanks, the new pack 2.05 works is good, as well as the old pack 2.0.
I have your other packages: bloodupscale-r07, backgroundmod1811, bloodbg-newtiles, skybox packs (they had a lot of extras). These packages have many of the same textures - can they work together? I'm lost in this set of packs - maybe some can no longer be used?
Please make a list of correct packages of improved textures, sprites and skyboxes. Now you have your own page on the site - you can collect everything you need in one place!

With Blood Upscale Pack 2.0 I started over from scratch.

I don't plan to upload the older background upscale pack and skyboxes as they aren't up to my current standards.

However, there is nothing technically preventing you from using both, and the new upscale pack shares the original naming convention.

The pack is a real improvement, will not play the game without it anymore. Too bad you decided to remove a lot of stuff from version 07, the HUD components etc. So to have the best experiance, I have to unpack both 07 and 205 and copy the 205 "upscale" folder over the 07, to replace files. Some graphics might be missing (bullet holes?) from 07 def file, but improved fonts and GUI elements are worth it.

Thank you. you can technically copy the bloodupscale205.def to the 07 archive, then add include bloodupscale205.def in the 07 def file.

I started over as this and the previous pack uses a completely different method of upscaling graphics. Things like HUD components will come in future versions (most likely just the minimal HUD to start with though)

In hindsight though, parts of what was included in the r07 upscale pack should have been left to the background upscale pack (the paintings for example) At some point I'll release a "background upscale pack 2.0" but likely not until certain features are implemented in the game's ports (basically to avoid storing 14 different versions of each texture for palswaps - some can be mimicked reasonably well with tints but that still leaves something like 7-10 palswaps, I don't wish to repeat the bloat of the older background upscale packs)

Thanks for the tip, I did just that. Too bad the fullscreen HUD does not show the counters, but it might be related to voxel.def which loads afterwards. Are you aware of any other Visual improvement pack for Blood (BloodCM used to have some, but I wasn't able to find any download links)?

BloodCM has the tilenums shifted relative to the original. I believe M210 made a version where the tiles were shifted back to their original position but I don't know where you could get that.

Someone else who made an upscale pack using XBRZ. However it lacked any support for palette swaps (heavily utilised by Blood). You may be able to find it on the duke4 forums. Finally Xross been working on his own take of the game's HUD but AFAIK he hasn't released anything yet

Mmm, this is Xross btw. What I've uploaded my files last time was my final for the HUD, I haven't checked how my mod works with the most recent update however. You can include my hud version into your package.

I have this HRP package from BloodCM, it adapted for M210 for BloodGDX - here is the link:

Forums.duke4.net

The package works and if it is finalized, then as an alternative will come down.

Thanks 86232and, that's the thing I was looking for. So far the pack look amazing (especially textures), and works out-of-the-box in nBlood, but I have to edit props.def to disable some of the less-immersive stuff (bodies etc). I'll try to leave only textures and sprites that are sticked to the walls (signs, locks etc). Thanks again!
