The world was devastated when the skies tore open and the signs of the Zodiac fell to earth, in the process they created terrifying physical forms for themselves. During the course of a single night, the powerful embodiments of the Zodiac signs devastated human cities and through their conquest of earth their star essence leaked into the natural world and altered it forever.

As humanity struggled to survive, the Zodiacs took territory and rested in their lands, constant guardians of their new world and disfiguring Earth’s environment. Lands grew exotic new plants, bred new and vicious creatures to guard them and twisted the world using their essence whilst humanity watched.

But it would not always be; a prophecy was foretold, where one would come forth and present himself to these 12 legends. Driven by revenge, within their own guarded lands, within their deep places of rest, this lone warrior would challenge each sign for the sake of humanities freedom. When that day came, he was triumphant.

Now, centuries later, a new land has been discovered. It rests without any clear inhabitants, yet gives evidence of humans living there. Even more strangely, scattered throughout this land there exist shrines, each one seemingly revering a sign of the Zodiac. It is as if this entire land is a collection of temples, a place to worship, or learn, of the great legends that came before. Challenges await the ones brave enough to venture into this land, with rewards greater than gold or fame; rewards of knowledge gained by one who would discover the truth of this strange, new land.
