An ancient force dedicated to fighting an unspeakable evil, the Order of the Talon has risen from the shadows once again to continue their struggle in the modern age. They will stop at nothing to crush the mysterious enemy they were created to defeat - all other priorities, including preservation of life, pale in comparison. Their aim is noble, for if their enemy were to awaken, the world would be shaken to its very foundation... but for the Order of the Talon, the ends justify the means, however ruthless those means may be.

Ive ever seen

(Hope this doesn't get eaten)
I can easily find out what the eaten

I'm just checking the source code
Bad things always happen to good mods.
Aha! Fixed it.
...So, turns out the "Center Text" formatting is a little borked. Not sure why it only happened to this feature and not the others, but at least it's better now.
There's still some code garbage on top, though. I'll see if I can fix that too.
Nice one :D
Nice most of the names for the building and units look like they came out of the Tiberium universe and Halo :P
It wouldn't be the only thing coming from the Tib universe.
Yeah we have tank spam aswell.
:p
One Question- Lucifer deals huge damage to ALL targets- that's mean, that this powerful unit is able to attack aircraft?
PS. Each new faction in Your mod is awesome and original, and all of them aren't too much weird.
No. All ground units.
i think "Phoenix" sounds like a better name for the firehawk.
Well, there is still a whole other faction to go...
And it's a Mediterranean faction, at that.
The Greek Phoenix seems much more fitting than a vague GDI/Knight Templar/Supercatholic Phoenix anyway.
hmm.. stolen units?? how many stolen units will exist??
If we can get them to work, 64 - one for each faction combination (8x8).
I hope the Trebuchet won't be throwing rocks =P
Of course not. It's just the name.
Is this supposed to be making fun of Christians or something?
Not making fun of, per say. The Talon are an ancient force of Crusaders, so naturally they have some medieval Catholic overtones.
Okay.
Can the squires use there explosiv/anti-air bolts in while garrisoned in buildings?
Yes.
No, of course not! :)
It also involves some GDI concepts too, I think.
why would a Church faction name a weapon Lucifer? What about Cardinal instead or Deacon?
Because it burns the wicked, and with fuel tanks as big as the ones it packs, potentially for eternity. The name has a deeper symbolic meaning too, There were only six Lucifers ever made in the Order's history but forty years later all of them are still around; they only roll them out when it would be better to make a deal with the Devil than let the target escape.
So the Cleanser is just a Zone trooper and Black Hand combined? :)
You Should Make the MCV trained at the Airfield
... why? HOW?
I meant to put that comment under China
y is it quality over quantity if they are steamrollers
I think we are using different meanings of the term. The Talon have long build times and high costs, but are very hard to destroy. As a result, they tend to gain power and numbers over the course of the match, eventually overpowering the enemy entirely.
After hearing about a walker MCV-type (similar to CnC4), I thought about what kind of tactics I would use, and I figured that it doesn't seem like a very fun idea.
I'm rather fond of base-building, because it allows me to be sneaky and move my base around when my opponent THINKS I am somewhere, but with a Walker, my opponent KNOWS that I'm already being sneaky, which already half-defeats the element of surprise.
It just doesn't seem as much fun.
But that's just my 2 cents.
Why you think walkng MCV would uncover its position?
Not its actual position.
But the fact that it's moving.
That means my enemy would be able to not be surprised when they see my MCV set up shop in multiple obscure areas of a map.
I think you have the Talon mixed up with the Confederates. The Talon are meant to be flexible and mobile - so their entire base can pack up if they need to retreat. The Confederates are the sneaky faction, to the point where you could expect an opponent to have a base INSIDE YOUR BASE. And better yet - they're FAKE buildings that are filled with explosives. Honestly, I think half of the games against the rebs will involve shooting trees or running over them, just in case...

hiding from that tree...
*minuteman presses trigger and rock explodes*
Oops. That's my bad.
I misread somewhere that the Talon base was being replaced with a crawler-type MCV, which is essentially a base on legs. (Can deploy units on the move.)
This provided my entire argument O_o.
Is there supposed to be a link with a unit list?
They're changing the Order of Talon build system to make them more like the CNC4 GDI (With a Crawler).
This will be my favorite faction. Build some mobile oil derricks, place them in the corner of the map with defences, and spam clerics. Support the clerics with an ironclad and maybe some intercepters and there you go.
this faction does sound interesting, but to me, they seem a little on the evil side since I've heard they kidnap or kill those who find out about them, not to be critical of anything
