Visual3D.NET is not only capable of creating and rendering vast terrains, you can actually render an entire planet with it, e.g. for simulation purposes like Flight Simulators or real world applications.
The planetoid editor allows level designers to access and compose points of interest on the planet which they want to edit in detail.

Visual3D.NET supports many input formats to generate large terrains, including GIS format, height maps and RGBA maps to procedurally generate landcover like vegetation or rocks.
