This is JK:JA SDK created for JACK editor (previously known as Jackhammer)
It contains fixed models, shaders, textures so JACK can use them.
Original FGD with Raven's Tools included.
I'm proudly announcing that Unofficial Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy SDK for JACK editor has been Released!
If you didn't hear about JACK editor, this is wonderful multi-platform map editor for GoldSrc and Quake-based games, link.
This file allows you to create maps for Jedi Academy by providing full-featured FGD file for JACK, with fixed models, textures and shaders under JACK editor (as it not supports JK:JA at the moment), inside you will find configuration guide with provided info about how to configure and prepare JACK editor and game files.
Please note that this is first version of SDK so bugs and misleads may happen, though I encourage you to comment and report any issues about SDK.
FGD contains all needed features, text boxes, flag check boxes and drop-down lists for key values. Some options like monster or soundset names are included, so you don't need to browse web or game files in search of needed sound names or monster types. You can also see original entity description (like in .def file) by going into "help" menu in entity properties. Also entity keyvalues that were missing in original FGD has been added.
Game files are tuned specially for JACK editor, so all textures and shaders that where not displayed are fixed.
Make maps with JACK editor and use it's extended functionality on all levels.
This packs also includes Raven's SDK tools, original Jedi Academy Icarus scripts and some useful files from GTKRadiant, everything in one place to start creating maps with JACK.
Great thanks to FreeSlave who created def2fgd tool, which saved me tens of hours of work.
Hey! Author! Pls update plugin!!!
Useful FGD, although I recommend converting the textures yourself and grabbing some other stuff from the GTK-Radiant 1.4 installation. A couple things of note:
* This download converts all the PNG textures to JPG. This is done because JACK doesn't support PNG textures, but this breaks transparency. Instead, you should convert the PNG textures to TGA; I use GIMP with the default settings of RLE compression enabled and origin set to bottom-left, which works great.
* The download doesn't have the necessary DLLs for Quake2Map to run; these can be grabbed from GTK-Radiant 1.4.
