Finally this is version 7 of my Perfected Doom 3 modification. With better gameplay difficulty balancing, a new weapon combat mode system, and so many graphical enhancements from skin effects to optimized bump mapping effects Perfected Doom 3 has never been better. Plus with the return of the classic singleplayer campaign "In Hell" that you can now play with PD3 there's so much more blood to spill. You must have your copy of Doom 3 patched to version 1.3.1. This is a new full release so you do not need any of the previous releases or patches to play this mod. So remove your old Perfected mod folder and get ready for the best version of PD3 to date.

nvm, I got it working. I was starting the mod wrong.
To those of you who didn't bother to read the xtx file the mod game with (or didn't understand what it meant), go into the mod's foler and open the batch file that matches your GPU (Nvidia or ATI). If you get a message that tells you not to run the program for some reason, just click "run anyway". If it doesn't give you that option, click "more info" first. If you don't see THAT, then change your start menu color to something that isn't grey (that was my problem -_-). If you still cant run the batch file, try the other one. If neither work then stop trying to run Doom 3 with DOS, this isn't the early 90's anymore... Or just ask someone for help.

I just installed only perfect doom MOD and addon textures,no other mod
Oh ok I was getting those at one time while messing around with the source. But I fixed that by making sure all new functions were included in the savegame and loadgame sections of the code. This should not be an issue anymore. I can load and save just fine. Have you tried loading a quicksave? Or an autosave?
yes, always autosaves will cause this problem,and some autosave will like this,some are OK,looks like randomly broken.

Is there a way to increase difficulty ? I really love the gameplay ! The best mod I saw for Doom 3. But I think you have too much ammo. You don't need to improve your aiming skills because you can shot as a badass ^^
What do you mean by difficulty? Higher damage rates for monsters? Lowered max ammo counts? More enemies per map? Be more specific.
Reducing max ammo count for you and zombie-marines can be a solution indeed (where do you put all this extra ammo ?).
I think too reloading shouldn't be automatic, to select your weapon, have to cover to reload,...
Finally, I think shotgun is unbalanced. You can kill a marine in one shot mid-range. Dispersion is too weak. So you are encouraged to use mainly this weapon. A marine is armored, like you, so it would be nice to think to aim to the head (with sub-machine gun, or even pistol) or waiting to shoot at close range with shotgun.
I disagree on the fact you are a "Doom-guy". You are regarded as a normal Marine that just arrived to Mars. So yes you are a human being. Let's say the double barrel has low weight ^^
Perfected doom is all about giving the player tons of serious firepower but comes with the price of the monsters having the same effect, this is meant for fast and intense gameplay, you can however make add ons for the mod, if you don't know how to mod, you can learn and message me, I'll be glad to help teach basics.
I don't care what the game says you're still Doom Guy. And Doom Guy is powerful.

I just understood after reading the whole description of the mod (not just the summary). Sorry for having bothered you with my concerns !
To me modernize was also make things more realistic, like in the new Doom and other recent games.
Your goal is to add gameplay elements and rebalancing to make the game more nervous and brutal, like the old Doom.
I didn't understand.
I am finally more into Overthinked, but I can't play it because the "surviving" essence is artificially created (randomized low ammo loot on corpses, unlimited ammo without reload for enemies), so no coherence at all.
To conclude, you (all) make masterpieces that suits yours and tons of others needs. My needs may not be fully fulfilled, but I still enjoy the game (what nice remasters !), praize and cheers you ! BRAVO !
I am already pleased with the new Doom in "Nightmare" difficulty. Few ammunition, no external weapon for enemies, coherence, exploration, reflex and thinking.
Have to wait a few extra months before taking back my gaming PC and play it ^^
ill be honest, i also agree with him, simply because story wise in doom 3 it is seen that ur just a marine. nothing more. even more so i think it shouldnt be to easy, ill be playing here soon once i install it so, ill state what i think for you as well. i am excited though.. lol. i hear good thing about this.

I read it and i even launched the game using both the nvida and the ATi batch file but it still crashed.
Read the read me. It tells what u need to do with the doom3.exe file for the batch to work.
It's awesome but ****** up my doom3 and I couldn't play it without re-downloading it.
I don't see how it could have messed up your Doom 3 unless you installed it improperly. Did you install the mod files into your "base" folder? If you did don't do that.
Can this mod work for Doom 3 BFG Edition or is it only for the original Doom 3?

Is anyone else having an issue with Delta Labs - Sector 4 level where you kill both Hell Knights with the BFG railgun and the game crashes as soon as you enter the portal to hell (right after you draw your fists, which happens automatically)?
However, to avoid issue is if you kill one of them with the railgun and the other with something else, the game goes as it should.

I love what you did to the mod. I enjoy your previous version "perfect doom v6" It brings fresh experience of the game. Now V7, again its great but imo, i think you over did it with revenant having red lights on its shoulder and also cyberdemon having red lights too. Its alittle much. One small issue i have with this mod, whenever i encounter Revenants, the fps drops. Im not sure if its my comp but i think you need to check up on that.
overall good job! I hope you make Increase Monsters Extra addon for ROE :-)
oh and Adding the mod Tested campaign will be great for next perfected doom V8 ;-)

I like the lights on the monsters. You're the only person who thinks they're too much. Or at least you're the only person who has negative feedback on them.
I don't get FPS drops when Revenant's are around. I think it's your PC.

Hey i mean, its just one person right lol? 1 hater wont matter haha :-). The hell skin lights design are pretty cool especially on baron of hell. Its just the red flash lights on Revenant made them look less intimidating to be honest, thats just me. Their demons, they dont need lights to see, they live in darkness. Just my constructive criticism or you can say nitpicking. But I still like the mod
