A series of optional graphics enhancement minimods for the Enhanced 4X Mod and Interregnum to allow the player to customize their experience. Use of the Sins:Re compatibility minimods requires the Sins:Remastered Mod. Recommended to use our web based Mod Manager tool (link in the description below) to generate your mod order.
Installation
Recommended: Setup your mods with the Mod Manager tool!
Please see the Mini-mod Readmes for detailed installation instructions. The Sins:Re compatibility mini-mods require the installation of Sins:Remastered. BGM Enhanced Graphics should be loaded just above the main E4X/Interregnum mod folders, and the Sins:Re mini-mods should be loaded at the absolute top of the mod stack.
Minimods
BGM Enhanced Graphics: a mini-mod for the Enhanced 4X Mod. This mini-mod incorporates the changes found in Bailknight's Graphics Mod into E4X, including texture, particle, and effect overhauls. Compatible with Interregnum.
E4X Sins:Re: This mini-mod allows E4X 1.87 to be used together with Sins: Remastered v1.00. Both E4X 1.87 and Sins: Remastered V1.00 need to be downloaded and installed.
INT Sins:Re: This mini-mod allows Interregnum Beta 2 to be used together with Sins: Remastered v1.00. E4X 1.87, Interregnum Beta 2 and Sins: Remastered v1.00 all need to be downloaded and installed. Both E4X Sins:Re and INT Sins:Re should be loaded for full compatibility.
The Mod Manager tool shows up SinsRemastered-v0.95b when the latest is v1.00.
You can substitute v1.00 in there instead of v0.95b with these versions of E4X Re and Int Re.
The mod manager just needs to be updated yet. I have passed it along to Goa to look at.
Thanks. Yeah, I did that part manually, just using the rest of the generated list. I just figured I would give a heads up.
This should be fixed now. :) Goafan77.github.io
Quality assurance and Powderpuff also don't show up on the manager, though I imagine they go directly above INT SinsRe and E4X SinsRe.
Correct. Basically top of the stack if you want to use them. Powderpuff would have to be above QA if you want it to have an effect.
Thank you for this, I couldn't wait to start a new game with the latest Remastered. It is simply gorgeous, and stunningly so! Kudos!
One thing I wanted to mention is that planets lack city lights on the night side (although I don't know if that was even included in Re or INT in the first place) and on certain worlds (e.g. Terran) the cloud layer seems to be doubled/double-layered. Guess the second got something to do with the new/overhauled planet shaders of 1.00? Anyway, this is really just a very minor thing I noticed, all in all it looks spectacular and refreshing, especially volcanic worlds!
And I think I am heavily in love with the new skyboxes of Re, they add so much depth! How did you even manage to add such a feat? Are they based on a parallax shader?
We're glad you're enjoying it!
Regarding the city lights thing:
This was actually a choice made by the original planet artist who provided the initial set of planet textures for the project. I may have added lights to certain planets that were replaced or heavily revised but otherwise left them as the original creator intended.
Regarding cloud layers: There is now a fog layer and a cloud layer on planets. Is this perhaps what you're seeing? Otherwise perhaps it's a byproduct of the cloud animation? There is only one actual cloud layer available to any planet.
Regarding Remastered's skyboxes: The skyboxes were created by setting up an actual 3D nebula scene and then creating a render using a 360 degree camera. Depth data was also rendered and is being used to drive a parallax depth effect in the new skybox shader in v1.00.
Thank you for explaining, I appreciate that very much! Learn something new every day... :)
About the cloud-issue: I think, I was just "seeing things" when looking from certain angles and got a wrong hunch, my apologies!
The cloud animation is achieved with a flowmap texture. These are short cycling, procedural animations in the end. Earlier drafts of the shader did show some "doubled" looking states and tweaks were made to address that. It's possible you were picking up on a bit of that yet in certain settings, texture maps and flow speeds.
Hopefully any remaining instances of that are not too common and fairly subtle and harder to notice. It's unlikely there will be any further revisions to that shader process or textures at this stage.
hmm.
Will this work with Beta 2?
Yes. The file info specifically says it's for use with Beta 2.
Delete my last comment (as guest) that i can not download it, forgot to sign into moddb.
umm so i installed these and somehow all the ships are doritos and other foods?
Sounds like you just enabled all the mods, which includes some April fools jokes. Here is the mod list for just Interregnum and Sins remastered.
