Yo,when i try to open paranoia.exe,nothing appeared but xash dedicated server shows up and it says map (username)

Hello Paranoia Team! Your mod "Paranoia" looks really cool! But when i launch the game, it just says "Fatal Error Failed to initalize authentication interface. Exiting..." Is there a fix for this?
Valve made an update that can damage compatibility with mods of previous versions.
Wayout: make update backup, or use non-steam HL version.

I have an error that keeps happening
I go to the shortcut and launch it. Something opens then shuts in less than one second
I downloaded the mod from ModDB
There are other people who are also having this problem
Please help if you can
