Interesting, this is a low activity phase in general, I'm not currently modding at all, Mololu has stopped indefinitelly, even Complex forum seems rather dead... Anyway I hope you guys will pick up again and get it done eventually.

I love Russian helicopters.
so I found a program by google called sketchup. I'm trying to bend it to my will and make HW2 ships.
Wing3D, Blender? ) Free programs, professional enough for HW2 modelling.
The problem is that everybody is using 3DMAX or Maya, I guess, pirate edition )))
Btw, BigBoom99 is using Blender - you can ask him for a advices )
Well, Sketchup. It's something like a hybrid CAD programm, it's not really suitable. I've seen models exported from Sketchup into .obj and the mess it made..., in fact it's maybe even less work to remodel the object from scratch, than to fix that unbelievably messed up geometry.
Don't you want to look into some real poly-modellers first?
