Adds meshes and textures to all vanilla and BaS weapons magazines. For Magazines Redux
Real World Models for Arti's Mags redux
*Credits
This pack contains meshes and textures from Medic27's addon, which is a port itself. I've added magazine models to all vanilla and BaS weapons.
If artifax wants to include them into the mod, I'll probably remove it from Moddb.
CHANGELOG
- Updated for latest Mags Redux (April 19)
- Updated files: BaS Patch: mags_bas_old.ltx
REQUIREMENTS
- Mags Redux obviously
- Mags Redux BaS Patch (Optional)
INSTALLATION
- Make sure to meeet the requirements
- Drop this archive's gamedata folder into your game's root folder and OVERWRITE files
NOTE
- Does not require a new game! BUT you have to remove all magazines from your inventory (unload, remove from loadout and trash away or sell them)
and either spawn new ones via debug menu or buy them. Otherwise you won't see the new models when dropping them on the ground.
Sorry for dumb question, but will I be able to see new mags attached to my weapons since they are world models or they go separately from weapon models and I can see new mags only when they are dropped?
You will see them only when on the ground. Without this pack you will see the same model for all mags, no matter if it's an RPK box with 100 bullets or a pistol clip with 8 rounds. So this pack is only for some extra realism. Although it's not perfect. But it's a nice addition to have.
I got it. Thank you.
I figured you'd point out that the model I chose to use for every magazine was actually just a harmonica.
I think only when dropped (world models), as the mag texture is part of the weapon texture files
It gives an error like this:

stack trace:
It seems that the crashes come from the fact that the mod requires B&S, i and some personally don't want to use B&S so making it an optional patch would fix it.
FIX!: Inside the mod, open the config folder, and delete any Ltx file that includes "bas" and "9x21"
Thanks a lot, it helped. But some magazine models do not have texture and are displayed in the form of a contrasting black harmonium.
Oh, thanks for pointing this out! I thought that it could be installed even without BaS. Fixing it right now!
Don't feel bad i thought the same thing and i'm the one that coded the 'build_mag_revers_lookup' function. I will look into fixing it.
Github.com issue on github.
Hey mate, you still left mag_9x21.ltx
We will continue to wait until we get original art. Unless you can provide a link to somewhere where the original artist states they allows reuse.
Medic27 states that he ported it from A.R.E.A mod. You can check it on his page (linked above)
Nothing in his page links to the originator of the art assets.
Still getting the crash from B&S files included without selecting the option for it. Better check that BAIN installer.
This addon is out of date any time a modified date on either of these pages is more recent than this addon:

This addon cannot be removed once installed. By using this addon you will continue to see bugs that may have been fixed in MagsRedux.
Use at own risk.
I'm keeping this addon up to date the best I can.
Do I still need to remove all magazines if I update from a older version of Mags redux models?
Currently not - unless you use a much older version. Otherwise just overwrite it.
