Were you that guy who was wondering why some function returned a null in like, one or two threads ago?

I did inquire about it a few threads back, and another gentleman messaged me this morning after successfully merging the script with 1.4.10 — it may have been his post that you saw, I haven't been keeping up as often as I'd like because of work hours.

How likely is this to break when the next update comes out? I don't want to add this and then mess up by using the update.

It's possible since CoC development is in overdrive right now, but I'll do my best to update these as necessary (shouldn't be difficult, bit of copypasta). If it were to cause any problems, it's as simple as removing the 3 files from gamedata\scripts\: xr_corpse_detection, xr_motivator, and lootmoney :)

As long as the patches keep coming out and changing 'bin' and 'database' I'm good. So far the updates haven't messed with the add-ons I use.
Thanks for this by the way. I always liked the loot money.

I tried this addon with CoC 1.3.2 and found that it was more lucrative to loot corpses than accomplishing missions.

Hi.
Does this breaks the game? (Does it make it too easy?)
If yes how can I edit values to my taste???

Reply Good karma Bad karma+3 votes

I think you'll find this version much better than the previous one. The amount of money you get from each corpse has decreased, but you can edit the multiple fields in lootmoney.script in parenthesis to your liking: "math.random(25,400)" -- first value is the low end, 2nd value is the high end regarding probability

How do I edit the script? Do I open it with Notepad?

Correct, you just need to place the lootmoney.script file into the directory ..\gamedata\scripts\

The addon is compatible with every new version, so therefore it's always compatible with every official weapon pack.

Figured I'd ask you since I want to rip your idea off sort of :)
I want to do something that randomizes the stats of artifacts and adjusts their value, and it looks like your script would be a good start. Do you know how I could fire a script when the player picks up an artifact? Or better yet, when an artifact spawns?

does this only apply to the official game or the mod that was created that lets you play as any faction? i tried on the official game and i dont see any folder that contains scripts.. and i did it with the mod and it does have the folders needed except the files you asked to delete.. i added it to the scripts either way and nothing

This addon is for the mod Call of Chernobyl, not sure what you meant by official game, but if it is Call of Pripyat, as long as I know, it wouldn't work.

Wow, more than a year without touching anything related to STALKER, I'm getting used to all the changes slowly, I really missed that time.

Off-topic aside, I was thinking in something like what this mod does, but with a twist.

What I though was that, instead of all humans giving money, make so that only those who were "stars" (those to who you can talk to) and ally or neutral to you before dying give money, and the ammount be the money they had with them before dying.

The reason for this is that, although I like to make money for looting and then selling it, I hate when someone to which I want to sell things dies before I can exchange loot for all it's money worth, so this could compensate that.

I'm talking without knowing how the script works, so I don't know if making this would be as easy as tweaking the code a bit, or it needs to be rebuild and/or a lot has to be added.

Thanks for the mod nonetheless, and please don't feel obligated to do anything, I was just asking if it was possible only.

Have fun.

I've updated the original amounts to increase exponentially, from 250-500 all the way up to 32000-64000.

I find this works well in game. Before you assume this is economy breaking insanity, it really isn't.

The price of a loaf of bread from traders is around 232 RUB. We can assume that's approximately £3 ($4) (being generous).

Under my settings, a novice would have £3-£6 ($4-8) on them. The maximum possible loot range from a *legendary* stalker is only £415-£830 ($550-1100), roughly speaking.

Feels about right to me - and it stops the game becoming a "sell every gun/ammo clip/mutant part" slog.

I would also suggest boosting the price of artifacts and missions about x10 in line with this economy, but the existing sales price of other gear feels right, as does the cost of equipment.

Gear from Nimble weighs in at around £2000 ($2750) on this scale. Perhaps the most expensive suits and weapons could be upped a bit, but it's not far off.

Okay, I've downgraded it a notch: starts at 125-250 and goes incrementally up to 16000-32000. Works well.

Was curious to know if someone can explain what the 2 sections in the notepad file are for? The top section has lines such as "elseif npc_rank == "professional" and deadmoney >=600 then deadm and the lower section has lines like "elseif gi_rank == "professional" and deadmoney >=300 then deadm

Not sure which of these I would need to edit, whether it is both or just one? My intuition is telling me the top section is for NPC's that can be spoken to, and the bottom section is for random-generated NPC's; but this is probably wrong lol.

I was thinking something similar, I noticed the smaller the end numbers are the lower the auto generated money notification. I'm trying to figure out how to disable the automatic money notification because it seems like it gives you two instances of money loot. One in a message and sometimes in the npc's inventory and it's usually around 5000 rubles which ruins the game if you ask me.
