[OUTDATED, needs update] This addon allows players to customize the animation speeds of the animations in FDDA.
This addon adds MCM options to change all the usable item speeds, backpack opening/closing speed and skinning speed.
It also allows you to customize the speed for specific animations, however this requires you to edit the anims_list.ltx file from FDDA or make a DLTX file (Described below).
There is an optional DLTX file in this addon that doubles cigarette smoking speed.
Requirements:
MCM
Food, drug and drinks animations
DLTX for optional file.
This addon is tested on FDDA v0.8.9 from May 23rd. Using a different version may give problems.
Load this addon after FDDA.
To add a custom speed to a specific item you must find FDDA's anims_list.ltx file. It is in the folder "gamedata/configs/items/items".
Under an item like [medkit] you must add a line with "animspeed = 2" to double the speed of the animation. Putting 0.5 will make the animation take twice as long.
If you have set the multiplier in the MCM options to 2 and the animspeed to 2 in the file you then play the animation at 4 times speed.
You can also add the animspeed line to specific items by making a DLTX addon to avoid conflicts.
My other "first" addon does this and you can use it as an example. You can find it here: FDDA Stimpack Changer (The DLTX file has to write to animations_settings and not anims_list)
Let me know if you have issues or suggestions.

Changelog:
v1.4.2 Updated for FDDA v0.8.9.
v1.4.1 (FDDA v0.8.8i_h3) - Small fix for skinning speed
v1.4 (FDDA v0.8.8i_h3) - Wrote an entirely newscript to handle the animation speeds instead of overwriting FDDA's main script with an edited one. It overrides some functions from FDDA but may still help with compatibility.
Fixed the bug where skinning with any other knife than the starter knife locked the game.
v1.3 - Added a working slider for skinning speed and a check to remove the camera movement effect during skinning.
The main animation speed slider no longer affects backpack and skinning speed. Use the seperate sliders for those.
Added an optional DLTX file for doubling cigarette smoking speed. This file can also be used as an example to change specific item animation speeds.
Addon now uses BAIN installer.
v1.21 - Removed "skinning speed" slider from MCM that was left over from testing. Optimised code.
v1.2 - Added MCM slider for backpack opening and closing speed
v1.1 - Fixes

I found out why it don't work and it's because of edits in the FDDA for the EFP where it changes a buncha stuff to work with the toxins+EFP edits
Yeah sounds like it's not compatible with toxins and/or EFP. I'm working on a newscript that overrides some FDDA functions instead of editing the main script in FDDA. Maybe it will be compatible then, maybe not.
Edit: I released an update. You can try it, but I'm still unsure if it'll be compatible for you
Bro how did u do this? Did u modify models? I want to do it myself too but for gunslinger mod or other mods
game.play_hud_motion() has a parameter for animation speed. I change that parameter and other lines of code made by the FDDA devs to get the timings right.
Well i dont think vanilla stalker has that parameter. Because gunslinger is vanilla based
Trying to skin mutants with this addon just causes my game to hang. It starts the animation and then just stops there. gotta force quit everytime
I found the bug. Working on it now
Edit: It should be fixed now
thank you so much i was about to report the skinning problem hahaha
also fyi this breaks the pickup animation - just tested.
FDDA has been updated several times since the last update of this addon, so it may not be compatible anymore. I will try to update this when I get back to working on Stalker addons.
Can I still use the animspeed line to configure the speed? I want a quicker Stimpak and a longer medkit animation due to Stimpak being a syringe, and medkit being a whole kit like Misery days.
What happened to your FDDA Stimpack Changer? Decided to try it out and poof disappeared
Great qol addon but I noticed while using it I no longer get the animation for picking up items off of the ground. I really only use the backpack slider from this addon anyway and I was wondering if there was a possibility of getting a version with only the backpack?
