Addon overwrites default Boomsticks and Sharpsticks (by Mich_Cartman) weapon shot sounds with JSRS Sound Overhaul (by Solarint) ones.

I love both BaS and JSRS, first one for the freshness of taste and variety in available guns (and as some say "We need more!") and latter for how amazingly crunchy, meaty and crispy weapon sounds it makes. However, despite BaS receiving compatibility patch for JSRS in it's latest release, i've noticed many guns did not adapt the sounds properly and above all many of them sound too quiet and weak, when used by both player and NPCs, compared to JSRS.
I understand that mod/addon creators are all humans and have their own bussinesses, time and energy limitations, thus i allowed myself to attempt "fixing" the issue mentioned above.

This addon/patch aims to expand on compatibility patch and make BaS weapons use JSRS "shot" sounds while keeping their original BaS "action" sounds (i.e. reload, empty mag, jam etc.).
To put it even more simple: ALL vanilla (base Anomaly) weapons will have all of their sounds adopted from JSRS and ALL BaS weapons will have their "shot" sounds adopted from JSRS while every "action" sound will be adopted from BaS.

Some of the sounds coming from base JSRS were applied in a bit weird way to corresponding guns (like folding AK74 or AKU74 having AKM sounds).
I have taken an attempt to make a better (in my opinion) fit of certain sounds and guns. As in above example, all AK74 type guns will now share the same sound, AK101 and 102 will have M16 sounds (as they are 5.56x45) etc. All changes made will be listed in the Changelog section below. If you have any suggestions, please share them in the comments.

- All BaS bolt-action weapons (snipers) are now using default BaS sounds in order to dispose of any missing or mismatched sounds
- Bolt-action weapons have their shot and after-shot bolt animation sounds tucked together as one continous sound (file). JSRS does not have, at the moment, any bolt-action sounds which would fit this nicely, especially in case of ones that can use silencers.

Im an OG guy, i do my addons manually, so i'm afraid i can't really provide that. The only thing i can say here is that i usually put BaS as one of last addons on top of everything else, mainly because i had the most issues with it
I hope this works with UWO. Cus that game had bas in it, and im interested in putting JSRS in.
Hard to tell honestly, i never used it and it seems to be a beast of an addon looking at it's weight (10GB). My addon won't unfortunately work with anything that modifies or overwrites weapon_sounds.ltx file and it would require further compatibility changes. Could look into it in the future, but no promises here.
another question, does it only work with Main Mod? Theres other patches like Cracks and impacts patch and new tracers
I have checked it with all of the combinations and said in the description it should work with optional ones too. I know it's long but i've split it into sections for easier reading so give it a quick look ;)

I'm having a CTD issue when I try to fire a gun with this addon installed, but no problems with BaS or JSRS without this addon. Is this compatible with Hollywood FX/Particles Reborn? I only have that, HD models and Food and Drug animations installed right now.

As far as i can tell it works. I'm not so sure about blood splatters etc. but bullet hits, dust and other "gun" effects should work just fine.

If you want to bring any of the guns to their original state simply copy w_XYZ.ltx file from BaS Archive -> gamedata -> configs -> items -> weapons
And replace the existing one, in corresponding directory inside of your Anomaly's directory gamedata folder, with it.
There are no new scopes in the weapon_addons file because of this they are not displayed in the game

Haven’t tested the new one yet, but on the last release, the m4a1 butcher and tactical had the same reload sound as the regular m4 I believe? This caused some issues with the sounds not matching the animations. ie pulling the bolt back in the audio when they only press the button after inserting mag

Hmm. Weird, because load order seems ok. I would get rid of this patch: Ibb.co as it's obsolete. Even though it seems like you deactivated it, it still may cause some problems.
Also as i said before, i merge my gamedatas and solve conflicts manually, so it's hard for me to tell if everything loads properly. Honestly it might be mod organizer issue, because i don't see any addons which would overwrite involved files anywhere neither. That being said you are using some addons which i haven't seen contents of, so you may want to check if there are any conflicts with them.
As the last line solution you can try dragging my Sound Merge and PR/HWFX Patch to the very bottom in this order:
-Mod XYZ
-Sound Merge
-PR/HWFX Patch
I did what you suggest but now other addons are unusefull...if I use just your mod and patch without patch from BAS only the tracers become inactive

JSRS had been updated to 3.5, and Changelog said they changed the sound of the bolts, so I thought this would be an easy replacement.
But when I compared the folders, I found that there were tons of other changes.

think i found it. it has in the ltx files for base that it is referencing whine sounds instead of cracks like it should. gonna try and see if copy and past works
one last question. Were you the one that fixed the white tracer effect that happened to the BaS an94 when they released it or did they fix that in an update cause im not sure how to fix that or if they have to being a mess up on their end

You need to put the third part of the BaS, the compatability patch, after this mod. This mod should be sandwiched between JSRS and the last part of the BaS.

I seem to have run into a small inconvenience using your mod. When using the GP-25 UBGL, the reload sound for it is too fast to match the animation.

To anyone having the problem with the sound merge, You need to put the JSRS patch found in BaS AFTER the sound merge. Seems counter intuitive, but this order worked for me (includes tacticool scopes addon for BaS):
