The Legacy Dream: Jurassic Park - Park Characteristics & Install tutorial

Greetings to all visitors to the park.

A week after the premiere, a new version of the full game is now available for download. This new version compiles, already with an extensive test, all the functions fixed during these last days, as well as new options for a more fluid gameplay.

There isn't much difference from the original version other than compatibility features that will work on some players. Here I will leave a brief installation guide, some bugs or problems that remain and how to deal with it.

The installation essentially remains the same, I strongly urge you to follow it as it says in the manual.

It has to be installed this way because being an edition of all the game's features, practically a new game, many files from the original versions of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis and the mods that followed.

Doing this can damage the files of this new version and in most cases it is one of the features that may make this new version unplayable.

This is not a simple mod.

Also, don´t not put this new version in the past version of The Legacy Dream: Jurassic Park - New Steps.

The following, although it does not appear in the manual, it is of the utmost importance to do so. Before playing, you must configure the graphic characteristics from the "Setup" executable located in the folder of the same name.

this is not only for the graphic section, this will make the PC you are using recognize the compatibility of the game and for therefore, play without so much problem.

I always recommend setting the resolution to 16-bit quality, this will stop some The Legacy Dream bugs and for some PCs it will have smoother gameplay.

This expansion pack is not compatible with other mods (this includes The Forgotten, Film & Novel Canon Mods, Movie Universe Pack, PMEP, The Legacy Dream Original etc...) do not try to put any foreign files or it will corrupt the game.

The corresponding save games from the previous version will not be compatible with this new version.

This new version tries to avoid any inconvenience in the game. Although it is already a more moldable version to the gameplay, some errors are present.

Some important bugs were present within the sandbox mode configurations, this new version solves them

Next I will tell you what they are and how to solve them.

Ligth Square Glitch

This error is due to the fact that this version of the game has had the lighting textures removed to avoid the strange flashes from electric fences. For new weather setting reasons, this strange glitch will be noticeable.

The way to eradicate it is to play it with a 16-bit resolution, this only happens in the 32-bit versions.

Dinosaurs, Decoratives & Buildings Bugs

A handful of people pointed out certain errors in the selection of dinosaurs and structures to me.

These errors are characterized by not loading the textures or random crashes when a structure is placed Many of them are due to incorrect installation of the game or an error occurred within the sandbox files or regular files.

This new version fixes this for most cases.

Graphics, System & compatibility crashes

One of the errors that has caused me difficulty, especially due to the fact that it happens to some people and not to others, is graphics errors, increased lag or simply compatibility in the game.

This should be solved mostly with the setup configuration, however in some cases this error remains.

The answer I have so far in those isolated cases of some people is the effort of the graphics engine within the game and the acceptance of the game within the corresponding PC operating system.

this has nothing to do with PC resources. Let's remember that Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is an old game that many current operating systems do not properly accept, let alone a complete modification of the game.

This goes for some people who still present these errors after the uploaded fixes, not for all players since, I insist, it only happens in isolated cases.

I, as the developer of this new game, have the responsibility of communicating and fixing the errors that appear, it has not been an easy job, however the objective is that the game can be compatible and enjoyable for everyone. I'm still working on getting answers and solutions for the bugs that are reported.

The novelty of this new version is the gameplay compatibility. This mostly goes hand in hand with editing data files, both from the regular and sandbox versions, as well as minor bugs within models, textures, missions, and behaviors.

However, beyond this, by public request, I have placed two new files, to the individual selection of the player, which will allow the placement of exclusive dinosaurs in the parks and Site B, this replacing some variants and sexual dimorphisms that some mentioned redundant.

For regular dinosaur roster players, there's no need to worry as the common selection is still the base.

I hope this new version, 1.0.3 is liked and compatible for all players.
