[page=Why a Flash tutorial in a MODDING site?]
Because a good website is integral to successfully attracting visitors. I've been planning this for some time ( and slacking off ), but thanks to a little inspirating from the' 'Wretched Abandon'' mod website, i'm back on my feet. Great looking mod btw. ;)
Why don't i just look at the gazillion other Flash tuts on the web?
-You can if you want, but i highly doubt that you'll get personal help, let alone access the tuts without paying. My tutorials will be made for mod sites, with basic mod site pages and contents.

What is Flash?
- I highly doubt that you fellas will be unfamiliar with Flash, but here's a quick rundown. Flash is an animation tool, and is utilized for creating websites, animations, adverts etc. Go to any webpage with an animated advert and right click over that advert. At the very bottom, you'll see some like
'' About Macromedia Flash Player (player number) "
This shows that it was made in flash. Doh.
-Where can i get Flash?
Go to Macromedia's site to download out a trial version of Flash. Remember this is a tutorial for people who just got Flash either at home or at an institution of learning ( university, college ). I DO NOT ENCOURAGE NOR ENDORSE ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES.
-Why Flash?
So now you're thinking, why Flash? Why not just plain HTML? I could tell you, but it would be best if you went Googling for 'awesome flash sites' and see for yourself.
Flash is a great vector drawing tool, although not as complete as Illustrator, it offers great animation functions. A little creativity in Flash will get you a long way, and you don't even have to be a pro.
[page=What can Flash do for my mod site?]
Flash can give your boring HTML site a major facelift. Here are a few things you can achieve
( and things ill be showing you in future tutorials )
- Animations
This is limited only to your creativity
-Drawing
Flash is also a great Vector drawing tool, and with a little practice, you'll be churning out realistic objects using gradients and layers.
- Interactive buttons
Make 'em jump, fade, grow, rotate, mask, or add animations within the buttons themselves
- Sounds
Add background music, music to buttons, to pages, sfx to buttons etc
- Movies and pictures
Import movie clips and/or images to your Flash site
Lets move on.
-What if i don't have time to learn?
Then look for a web master who is familiar with Flash. Its easier said than done.
-Does my entire site have to be in Flash?
Of course not. The great thing about Flash is you can fuse it with HMTL. Use is together with Photoshop'ed, Painter'ed and Illustrator'd images and Dreamweaver and you'll realise how versatile it really is.
[page=Okay wise guy, where's YOUR flash site?]
um...i'm still working on it. A teaser should be online within the week ^^
Thanks for bearing with my dabbling. The basic flash tutorial will be online soon.

since you guys are aspiring mod makers, there has to be at least an 3d moddeler,
Erain.com
check out this tool, its an 3d moddeling program which you can use to make 3d models and 3d animation which you can import into flash or directly to an swf.
