For Lost in the Dark, I want to inspire fear in all players. So, for those of you that respond to this post, I'd like you to comment what one of your fears are (if any) and I'll attempt to factor all responses into one or more custom monsters. If you do not want to, it's okay. I won't go pressuring anyone who doesn't respond to do so. All I want is to merely please and terrify each player. My goal of this Custom Story is to place the player in situations they do not want to be in, whether it be a sewer w/ water monsters or a chase scene with their one of their worst fears. What fuels your fears?
Well, you did ask.
-A feeling of being completely alone but also feeling that there is something else following you, surrounding you,constantly watching you and it is not friendly.
-Shapes and shadows at the corner of your vision, darting back just before you are able to register them.
-A feeling of being in a place that was once full of life and happiness, but now you are walking around in a dead husk, with flashbacks to the former occupants and finding out why things have gone to hell.
-Broken toys that seem to move around when your back is turned, maybe even following you.
-A place with skeletons in the closet (literally and figuratively).
Those are just a few.

Since I have anxiety and panic problems, everything scares me, but here's some of my worst fears:
- Hell
- Nuclear fallout
- Mind control/brainwashing
- Demonic possession
- The Devil
- Being tortured
- Being buried alive
- Being mutilated/disfigured
- Becoming a monster (figuratively or literally, since this is Amnesia)
- The manpigs from A Machine for Pigs D: aaahh
- Silence
- Anticipation (knowing or expecting a jumpscare is coming and having to sit on the edge of the seat waiting for it)
- The unknown
- Things that can't be explained
- Furby (THOSE THINGS ARE TERRIFYING OKAY)
- Abandoned places
- Finding notes that say "I see you" or "I'm watching"
- Things you see out of the corner of your eye that you tell yourself aren't really there (like the "shadowmen" myths)
- Cutesy things that very quickly turn evil (like Furby)
- Tornadoes (not sure how you'd include those, but it's a fear, so)
- Thunderstorms
- Looking into mirrors and seeing something else ("Bloody Mary", etc.)
- Being trapped alone in an unfamiliar place, especially at night
- The dark

In the right lighting, almost anything can look terrifying. But yes, I do see where you're coming from.
+impala-of-mayfair Thanks for the response.I think I'll try to fit in the fears of the dark, being alone in an unfamiliar place, and being tortured, disfigured, or buried alive. As with everyone who responds, and even those who don't, I hope Lost in the Dark is a great and terrifying mod when you play it. Maybe something like some psychological horror like you are envisioning things you've done and thing that will happen.

I know I'm very late, but I hope it's OK.
Here's what fuels MY fear:
-The dark.
-Being tortured, such as being sawed in half (as seen and heard in the original game), being burned alive (any kind of it, and the Brazen Bull), being buried alive, etc. Seeing someone else being tortured these grotesque ways.
-Violence.
-Monsters that you can't fight.
-The unknown.
-Dead bodies.
-Creepy sounds in the dark, such as heavy breathing coming from behind you or anywhere else around you (and you can't escape it), the wind when it sounds like something else (like a ghostly voice), footsteps following you, spooky whispers, creepy laughter (old, abondened funhouse-kind-of-type).
-Cockroaches and creepy crawlies. SPIDERS!! AAAAAHHH!!
-The feeling of being hunted.
-Zombies.
-The Grunt, the Kaernk and the Brute from The Dark Descent, and the Suitors from Justine (Malo especially).
-Things that can't be explained.
-The dark deep of the ocean, where you can't see the bottom.
-Tsunamis and other natural disasters.
-Being dragged down in a dark hole, or dragged into the ocean, or under the water.
-Bloody knife, and blood at all.
-Dark, spooky basements.
-Fire out of control (like if my house burned down, with or without me inside).
-Intense pain.
-Dark areas where it's hard to see what's or who's there.
-AND MOST OF ALL: Losing my family and/or being all alone.
