You are right. Same for the SKS
I just noticed that about the Dragunov but the SKS was actually developed in 1944-1945 and was used up until the mid 50's when it was replaced by the AK47.
what about the springfield blot action rifle used in ww2 would work great here

Hmmm keep in mind balance. I find it unfair that the cops have an LMG with a 20 round magazine, yet the Mafia can have a GPMG fed with a 75 round drum or with a belt. The Mafia should instead have something like a Bren or an FG42 - the Bren and FG42 were in left over WW2 stocks.
Dragunov's never were in the 50's (it came out in '63,) so here I suggest instead that the Mafia have the Gewehr 43, which is believable as they were in captured WW2 stocks.
I find it unfair that the cops get a fully automatic assault rifle, the EM2, yet the Mafia are left with a semi automatic rifle with half the magazine capacity. I say give the Mafia an M2 Carbine, which is just a fully automatic version of the M1 Carbine with a 30 round magazine.
